I have a lower abdominal pain( mostly in bladder)..I had a phone call with my doctor as I could not consult him & he suspects it is a urine infection. I have pain in the bladder when I pass stools. He has prescribed me Urispas(Is this safe?)
I have also given urine sample for urine culture in the lab which will take 2 days, meanwhile I am taking tab Urispas 3 times a day.

The pain is better now. But why did this happen?
I could not even walk yesterday. Please suggest.

oceanbaby,
UTI are common during pregnancy and will have almost no impact on baby.
once results are in you will be prescribed antibiotic depending on requrirements, till then Urispas should subside your pain.

Do you intercourse? If yes then ask your spouse to wear condom. UTI can be due to many reasons but intercourse is one of the common reason and also not emptying bladder properly each time you urinate. So keep watch on both of the above suggestions and hopelly it will help prevent future recurrent infections.

Thanks Archie for the suggestion.
No I don't intercourse. Maybe its due to the restrooms in office:(. And moreover I frequently urinate & drink lots of water.
Thanks again..Its a little relief to know that it's common.
