Due Date Club January 2008:Hi KR

Hi KR, I am from March 2008 board. I recently got to know abt my pregnancy. I have been reading your messages since quite some time. After reading your messages, I could find out that you are an experienced and a very helpful girl who is ready to cooperate with the girls - who is experiencing all kind of jitters for their first pregnancy. After missing my periods, when I did the home test, the line was faint compared to the control line !!! is it normal? after few days again I repeated the test and there was a slight improvement. Yesterday, I noticed a very little brown discharge and I was horrified to see that. However, when I searched some information on net - I found out that many girls experience this. Do you have any idea if this is normal? Please reply to my message as I am getting very scared and can not think of anything else.

Yes KR, It was a great relief to know that all is fine. I was really worried. I am a working Girl living in Mumbai. It is difficult for me to cope up with all the stress, bad nausea and the weakness. But, fortunately I have a good support from my parents and mu husband so I am able to manage somehow. I hope this nausea does not last more than 3 months as I am not able to hold nething in my stomach and thefore losing weight.

Hi Pari08,

Congrats on your pregnancy. Hope you are doing well and no more discharge. Thanks for your kind words, I' m not that experienced, but I' m happy to post messages that will be of help and support to everyone whenever time permits.

By the way, did you get to see a Gyn and confirm your pregnancy? It' s the best way to be of sure. Faint lines might be normal, as many of the women doesn' t have enough hormones to detect the pregnancy in early stages. So if you visit a Gyn they might do a urine test and if they experience the same issue, they might do a blood test to confirm the pregnancy. If you want, may be you can try a home pregnnacy that will show the result as \" pregnant\" or \" not pregnant\" instead of lines which will make you feel better before you get to see the Gyn.

And abt the brown discharge, I feel it' s normal during early stages as long it' s not heavy bleeding with odour or accompanied with cramps. Please do get Dr.' s advice when you visit to confirm your pregnancy.

I would suggest you to get an immediate appointment to make sure evrything is fine, which shud be and take proper rest. Don' t exert yourself in doing anything. Take plenty of fluid and rest as much as you can. No sudden moves, or picking up heavy stuff and all other rules to be taken care during early stages. I had little red spotting couple of times and it was nothing to worry. many of us in the board has experienced lil spotting, so don' t owrry. But make an appt. and let me know!

Take care and feel free to write and ask for anything you need to know!

Love,
KR

Hi KR, Thanks for your kind reply. I visited my gynaec this weekend and she performed an early scan as I was having the brown discharge. But, good thing is that the scan revealed that my baby is all well inside. The reports were normal. Thanks for your support and prayers.

Year of school admission
Hi, my son was born in January 2008. My doubt now is his school admission. CBSE needs children to complete 3 years and 6 months for LKG. Is this confirmed? If that is so, the age is calculated as on what date? If it is by June 1st, then our kids will miss out by a few days. That is still allright as many people nowadays believe it is good to join kids in LKG as late as... - Sujani [View Message]
