If you are feeding your baby, then there is no need to give water. But start giving solids now that she is over eight months. About the biting part, I think your doctor will recommend a good cream. If your baby communicates with you and you are good at this communication all you have to do is to tell the baby to stop biting. Very firmly say No .....it hurts mama! After a few time sof this the baby is bound to give up. Your baby does not know she is hurting you this way so be very firm. But dont squeal / scream cos then your baby will think it is a game and I can attract mamas attetion this way! Water is very very important to your baby and if you are not giving your baby water for fear of infections have you imagined what you may be doing to your babys kidneys! The docs recommend that you dont give water to the baby till you are exclusively breast feeding your baby- But at this stage your babys water should be taken from an aquaguard and boiled for a min. of five mins and cooled and given to the baby. Change the water everyday! But pls do not NOT give your baby water!
