Hi moms,

Long time since I said Hi to u guys... Hope you and your cuties are doing great. I just got busy with Shalika and with work, didn't get time to be on IP site.

Last week was terrible for me and Shalika. Last sunday I took Shalika for a b'day party in a farm, she kept watching me while I was having cake, I gave her little cake and cream to taste, she liked it so much, I gave 2 or 3 more bites. From next morning, she started having severe rash, itchy, all over her body, I had to rush to the doc. She was given children's benadryl allergy medicine and anti-itch cream for the body. It was terrible for her and me to wait for 3 days for it to reduce, from thursday onwards I don't see the rash. I was so upset about myself since it was totally my fault. Doctor said just wait until 9 months to start feeding her other things. I still hv to get the list of 'what to feed when' from the doc. Just wanted to warn you guys.

Otherwise she is doing great. She needs everything that is in my hand otherwise cries. Holds things very strongly, I can't take it from her. She likes to sit/stand with support and play rather than trying to crawl. She became so glued to me, doesn't go to my mom or hubby when I'm there. It is so difficult to do anything, holding her all the time. I'm planning to buy a walker, thinking may be I can get my hands free if she enjoys it. Any suggestions r welcome.

My mom is going back to India today. I hv taken 1 and half months off from work. I hv to find and get her used to a babysitter/nanny n continue working. I donno if she will get used to somebody new at this stage. Scared to think of that. But initially I will enjoy my daughter for few days before hunting for a nanny.
