Hi friends,Thanks for your support. If it not have been for friends like you I would feel very depressed. Thanks again.Well to start with Iam after reading some nice ideas we have planned to go on holidays for 3-4 days.My MIL is really upset on knowing this and she has stopped talking to me totally. She and my SIL are all the time sitting together and talking I dont know about what but Iam sure they must be talking bad about me,atleast their vibes are such.Regarding the party it is not yet clear who is going to host and what happens right now they are very annoyed.I hope and pray that I have a peaceful and happy journey bcos I know when I get back they are going to burst.Should I give a call to my Nanand(SIL) and tell her that we will not be there to join them or just quietly move out of this place, please advice.Though still Iam not at peace but I want to try Iam desparate to be happy and confident. Thanks again to all of you.Pl. be in touch it helps.

Dd replied. Good for u. Holiday will definatley help.
i was also on holiday so could not participate in your post.
Now that u have understood, it is u only who can help u so u will definately be happy. Just one piece of advice. do not involve any member of your side of family in solving your problems at inlaws place bcs it will spoil there relationship & your dh will also get irritated. (i am saying this bcs u said in your previous post, that u were expecting of your mother to talk to your mil.)
u have got real good advise from friends here & u will be alright.
payal replied. dear geeta....I m glad to notice ur willingness to create a happy life for itself. Hope u will have a g8 time on ur trip. Its very natural that ur mil n sil r making faces at u , they will coz their servant without pay has decided to resign fr the thankless job n she has decided to get all the happiness n. Respect which she fully deserves. IGNORE MIL N SIL . Also my advice is not to call ur sil ,just go for ur trip quietly. When she arrives at ur home or when u r back then give her a courtesey call, keep it short nsimple. Good luck to u . U r on the right path.

Ritika replied. Hi Geeta,
God to know that you and your husband are planning a trip together.
Just concentrate on having fun and having a great time!
Forget about your in-laws. Let your MIL and SIL whisper and talk sneakily like high school girls. As long as they are not affecting your husband, why bother to even respond to them. When they make a face at you, roll your eyes and walk by.
Ad if I were you, I would not inform my SIL about anything. You never know what they might do or say to influence yr hubby. Just focus on going on your vacation right now.
Think about it this way. Are your MIL or SIL bothered about you when you are on the verge of exhaustion? Or when you don' t feel like living? Or when they know that they have forgotten your birthday and couldn' t care less?
So why should you bother if they are making a face? Let them make 10001 faces. That just means that they are not getting their way and you are winning. Just smile at them and stop paying so much attention to them and what they think.
You could call the SIL (the one coming from canada) from out of town (but AFTER she comes to your place) and say hello and welcome her on the phone. Tell her that you are looking forward to meeting her after you come back and that you will enjoy celebrating you rown birthday with her.
From now on, put your feelings and emotions on par with everybody else. Why should you be a martyr and sacrifice all the time. Step up and let others take notice of your feelings also. Protect yourself and your feelings and don' t feel bad about doing so.
take care and have fun during your holiday...
Ritika
Srey replied. Cool! I knew you would cheer up. *smiles*
So, it' s just you and your husband going on a mini trip, right? Leaving your MIL and SIL home? All right, that is excellent. Hope you have fun there.
Not sure, I don' t think you have to tell her. Didn' t you just mentioned that your MIL and SIL are like the Cinderella sisters. *Bursting with Laughter* If your MIL knows...I am sure, your SIL will probably have already heard the news as well. I guess, since you are such a nice person....leaving a little note on the refrigerator or leaving a voice mail, wouldn' t hurt.
Go ahead, clear your minds, relax, and have fun.

about your mil & sil making faces. think it is funny & try to laugh about it u will feel good. let me tell u one incident. me & my sil r not talking terms (as many of u know why) so whenevr i go there she makes this face at me ´ i hate u´ . last week when we went there, at the same time my niece(cousin bil´ s teen age daughter who lives next door) was entering the house with some things in hand so i opened the door for her. my sil was inside & she heard this niece´ s voice & came out with very big smile on her face & saying somehting but her eyes first fall on my face instead of the niece, and u guys should have seen her face. (suddenely that big smile vanishing) i thought it was very funny so afterwards when i told my dh about it we both laughed a lot.

Recently my Dad passed away and my mother will be alone. I have made enough money to retire comfortably but because I am used to the American lifestyle I can't live in India.
