I havent gained any weight in the past 5 weeks. I read that u are supposed to put on 1/2 kg each week and baby takes half of that. My overall weight gain is abt 11kg and my dr says baby's size is fine. But I am still worried. My Dr has also not scheduled an U/S in near future. I am in my 35th week now. I am being paranoid as I got pregnant after a long struggle. I hope everything is fine..

Dear Vidya,

What I suggest is that you consult your doctor, as ideally one should gain 2 kgs each month in the last trimester and as far as your total weight gain is concerned, 11 kgs is good enough but then it should increase in a proportion till 34th week and after 34th week the weight gain ratio normally slows down. In some cases after 38th week there is no weight gain or sometimes there in a weigh loss. Keep a watch on you baby's movements and consult your doctor over phone or make a visit.
