Due Date Club August 2003:Baby's position : Head Down

Name: MonX Hey, My last U/S is due this week ! And I'm excited to see the baby once again.

During the past two check-ups my Doctor has told me that my baby has taken a head down position which is good for a normal delivery. During my last visit I asked her whether there is a chance that the baby can move upwards ??? She said, \";NO\"; the baby doesn't have much space now to move around as he/she has grown up and the head of the baby is fixed. So, it will not be able to move around freely. It can only move its hands and legs and thats how you get to feel it moving. Otherwise the baby is not in a position to change its sides.

So, I'm now relaxed that the chances of normal delivery are good and rest all is in GOD's hands.

Did anyone in our group is aware about the baby's position ?????

Same here

I didnt have an U/S but my Dr says by feeling my tummy that the baby's head is down. She didnt mention anything abt the possibility of position changing and I also didnt ask. Good Luck to everyone

Good to read your messages about the baby's head down position.
I am too in the same boat of yours!
In my previous appointment my doc too told the same good news and I am relieved now knowing that the baby will not move back to any other position as there is only a small room left for the baby to move anyways!

Hi I also belong to the august due date group and felt very nice to read your message since i also had my u/s this week and the doctor had the same thing to say to me.The doctor mentioned that there is a bleek possibilty that the baby wold now change the position so i am very glad that at least the possibilty of a C section has reduced.Well all the best and do share your thoughts with what happens next.
