Thanks Archie for the suggetions on improving the feeding part, but nothing seems to help my son. with each day things are going worse. Now he doesn't sleep anywhere except for my arms. Am having sleepless days. Am so exhausted now.
My son doesn;t sleep for long hours like what I heard (that a baby sleeps for about 18hrs.), will this be a problem for him. He hardly sleeps for 8hr. My doc. says he must sleep and should be breast fed for 30mins.
Please suggest. Your suggestions and support will be of great help to me at this point of time.

sorry to hear trouble. You may want to intervene a lactationist here to improve on breast feedings.

My son never slept 18 hours, I would have been in heaven if he did for that long. He never slept more than 13 hours. Each baby is different. But sleeping for 8 hours in 24 hours is kind of less and when his pediatrician wants him to sleep long then you want to give him formula or improve breast feeding with lacatationist intervention.
Don't be despair it will work out.
