Dear Supriya,
It's very difficult to say as there is no concrete data available. But by and large speed of labor is very individual thing. Some take short and some take long time to deliver. However it seems that girls who are active through out the pregnancy are likely to deliver quicker. I know many who were really hyper active and delivered in an hour or even in 15 minutes.

Keeping active is most important, unfortunately we here get worried for everything and keep on bed rest, less activities, of course we do walk exercise but not enough to call it as hyper active.

Hi Supriya & all others...

I have been part of this group for a long time but don't know why just never got a chance to write. Though its always been great to read all the messages whenever I logged in. I am due this week as well.

Me & my hubby we have been living in London for the past few years. I saw my midwife today and she told me that taking warm baths, eating & drinking hot things and being as mobile & active as possible will help speed up labour.

My mom's here from India and she has been making this hot soup kind of thing everyday (its called raab in gujarati) which all guju aunts and moms say is quite good.

Anyways all the best & hope to hear the GR8 news from all of you SOON !!!

Luv & Regards
Tanvi
