Hi
Am due on 5thFeb. and so far there have been no symptoms of me delivering. doc. asked me to come over on 5th itself.
Am so worried, as y am I not getting any contractions. is there anything that i can do at home???
And does this mean that am going to have a C-section?

Please suggest.

Hi Alka,

This is Deepa, and my due date is also 5th Feb. I am doing fine, no signs of contractions or baby yet..!!
My work team is surprised to see me everyday, and wonder what I am doing at work..;).
But I feel fit and fine. I am bit uncomfortable, but doing OK otherwise.
I would suggest, take it easy, continue with your regular routine, do normal activities, and let the baby and your body decide when its ready to deliver.
If it takes too long (more than a week etc), then your doctor will probably induce you, which by no means indicate a C section. Induction/late delivery by no means indicate a C section, so do not worry about it.
Best wishes to you….Deepa

Hi Madhu, the main thing is to keep calm and fill your mind with happy thoughts. Keep the idea of 'looking forward' to the arrival of your baby uppermost. All will be well.

Stay cool and relaxed....it is not uncommon for this to happen.Think positive.

Dear Madhu,
Primevera is common. You can deliver baby in your 41 or 42 week.

tips for postdate mother
Walk for about 2-3 hours a day.
Drink raspberry leaf tea.
If not dilated then have intercourse,
old wives tale and not harm in trying CASTOR oil.
If you are constipated take medication to release constipation and or clear bowel.
See if anything get you in labor.
No, post-date does not mean absolutley C-section it's still 50-50 chances of vaginal - C-section.
