Hi,
Right now I am 6 weeks pregnant. I had an U/S when I was 6 weeks 2 days. The heartbeat was 117 bpm. Is it normal? Someonne kindly reply. Thanks.

mine was 190.. don't worry cuz right now baby is so small that its hard to find accurate hb.. if they put dopper just a little to right or left it changes dramatically.. enjoy ur pregnancy and wait till u have level 2 U/S in 20th week.. its just soi much fun to see little been:-)

Dear Ranmag,
Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Six weeks is too early to worry on this kind of aspects. Some people don't hear heartbeat even in 9 - 10 weeks, although things are perfectly fine.

Normal heartbeats are between 120 bpm to 180 bpm, yours 117 is near to the range and you should not worry much unless your Dr. told to.

This is however sensitive time of pregnancy. Take much rest as possible and keep drinking plenty of water and try to eat healthy, home made as much as you can because sometime you may become victim of Morning sickness and won't be able to eat well.

Hi Archie,
Thank you very much for your reply. It has helped me a lot. I alsom spoke to my practioner who says that there is no fixed limit for heartbeats fpr the first 10 weeks and she also says that as long as it is over 100 bpm, it should be okay. Also, I was reading the messages posted about saffron. Can you please tell me if it is okay if I have taken saffrom with milk for 3 times this week? I was told by my MIL and mother to take it and I did so. Now, I am worried because I feel that I have taken it a bit too early. Please respnd to this query of mine. Thanks in advance for your reply.

seems everyone is busy ,busy alot. For me too life is hactic. But i do not forget to take a break in between either a movie or party or go out on weekends. Last 15 days i had all.
