Due Date Club November 2009:Anamoly scan

I had my anamoly scan on Saturday and was such an exciting experience.. The little one was moving all the while and was yawning and sucking its fingers .. was very excited by the whole thing... By the Lord' grace everything is fine and the baby is doing good... I now have the next scan appointment in August in the 7th month to check for foetal development and growth.. not sure if this is done at all places or something specific done at my hospital.. my son was also there and he was excited to see the baby on the screen.. not sure how much he understood though.. but was asking lot of questions as to why the baby is not smiling for the camera and so on... My due date still remains the same 9th Nov, another 4.5 months to go.. I am exactly halfway through my pregnancy today and by His grace everything has gone fine so far..

Thats the update from my side... Do let me know how all of you are doing..Most of us must have crossed the half way mark or close to it.. congratulations...

anamoly scan report with short cervical length

hi everyone

i had my anamoly scan on saturday, but the report is not gud.....baby is fine...and his/her growth is perfectly fine......but my cervix length is too short which is not gud....so my Doct suggest me...that i hv to undergo with a minor surgery...in which my cervix is blocked with stiched....becoj my cervix is short so there is very much chance of premature delivery....to avoid this...i hv to undergo..with a small surgery..the surgery is called cervical carlage.....my cervical length is 2.5 in one sonography...after 2 day i hv done another scan ..in which my cervical length 2.7....

now, i want to know...from those who hv done her anamoly scan .....what is her cervix' s length.....

Cervical Length

Hi Sujata,
I got my scan done yesterday only and will get my reports today. After tht ill let you know what is my cervix length.
All,
My scan was good and doctor said everything is normal. But I couldnt see baby´ s face as it was constantly moving and was covered by its hands. Doctor said your baby is super active inside be prepared for the same when it is out )

Hi All,

Actually doctor said that at last he will show to me. Since one urgent patient came he could not show to me. I hope in next appointment i will get chance to see my baby.

About Kidney main doctor said that may be one of the kidney is filled with urine and another was not during scan. Due to this one of the kidney was looking low pressurized. In next time scan hope i get proper report.

anomaly scan

hey all..had my anomaly scan today-quite exciting to see the baby move,folding & unfolding his/her legs! Everything seems to be fine thankfully, though my haemoglobin is 9.7 and RBC count is also low. Going to the doctor tomorrow, lets see what she has to say..

Good to know that your scan went fine and your lil one is doing good.. Hope you have started your iron supplements and eat plenty of green leafy vegetables... do take care and let us know what your doc says..

Hi,

Yesterday I had my anomaly scan. But doctor did not show me the screen so I could not see baby.. :( There was only one screen to monitor only for doctor. Baby has grown properly. But doctor said that one of kidney of Baby has not pressurized properly.. :( Doctor advised not to panic. There will be follow up session for anomaly scan. Doctor said that everything will be fine as months goes. I hope everything will be fine in next anomaly scan.
Just bit worried. And also felt very upset for not showing me baby.. :(

Hi Chand..

Hi Chand

Its a little surprising that you did not get to see the baby during the scan. They would have the recordings on the machine and you could check if they could give you a CD of the images.. About the kidney not being pressurised... since doc said things should be fine as the pregnancy progresses...dont worry.. be cheerful and take care of yourself.

This is very strange...coz ive never heard of anyone not able to view their Anomaly scan...Also,you should ask the doctor to record the same for you..It is a beautiful experience and shouldnt miss on tht by any chance

Nice to see your update . Happy to knopw that everythings fine. I had my ultra sound too last week and all is well. I know how exciting its to see the little one inside...:)
How old is ur son..mine is 3.5 yrs.
My due date is around 12 nov .
U all take care and keep in touch.

DONT EVEN THINK TO GO TO CRADLE..

i have read so many blogs regarding cradle,manipal,Columbia Asia etc.. and found Apollo the best..tho bit expensive but is really a trustworthy..specially Dr. Chithra.. no wonder she is busy all the times...as she is good n people want to go to her only.. yes in Apollo they make us to wait a lot but atleast know how to take care of patients...

No special food for milk. Doc has advised me to continue calcium and iron tablets for the next 3 months. Other than that my mom gives me garlic and small onions (Sambar variety) fried in gingley oil with some smalt and little pepper to take with rice. Garlic is said to be good for milk.
