I would like to warn all of an agency in Bangalore well known to get maids/baby sitters from Kerala. The agency collects a good amount as the registration fee. We then got a live-in babysitter cum cook who they claim was Lekha, but she would call herself Bindu. And from day 1 that she came home she was always making some pretext or the other to go to her home again. And within the next 1 week, she did go home on the pretext of meeting her very-ill maternal grandfather and came back after 4 days. After 1 more week she said she wanted to go again because her grandfather was dead. We had even paid her a handsome amount as travel expense. Later that day, she was not receiving any call and I called on her mother' s number which she had given as soon as she had joined work. Her mother replied that this girl was in her house where as her mother was at the grandfather' s place taking care of him !! Of the 1 month that she was recruited, she hardly worked for 10-15 days, got money in the name of travel expense, got a dress because it was my brotherz wedding though she left before attending the wedding and our registration money at the agency also went a waste because of all this. Kindly beaware of such people and agencies. The agency lays down rules like we have to treat them like family members etc, but for them this is yet another job. They will never show the same concern that you would have for your kid. The lady who stayed with us mostly always was on the phone or reading magazines with my kid beside her and he would be happily stuffing all that he sees in his mouth and she would be least bothered. If she saw that you were around she would pretend to be very concerned and caring. Does anybody have any positive experience with such baby sitters? Ansha replied. Hi Stuti,
