Dear Friends,

Am 37 years old and married for the last 1.5 years i had conceieved naturally twice in the last 1 year and had two miscarriages in the 8th week itself , i also underwent a D&C due a missed abortion and then its almost 6 mnths now i have been trying to conceive but no results
SO i checked with my gyanaec about IUI /IVF
She recommened to try one shot of IUI and then if not IVF
She recommended Madhuri Patil
Can anyone recommend me the best place for IUI and IVF

Is there anyone of my age who has concieved thru these procedure succesffuly

I think we both are sailing in the same boat .I am married for 3 years and hade 2 miscarriages.Again this year planning for conceive.reports now showed that my husband has sperm count of 4million,and motility 20%.Dr in kamini raos hospital suggest to go for IVF.but i want to keep IVF option at the end.So please tell me which doctor you are refering .Tell whether i can go for IUI or only IVF option is open to me.Please give me your valuable suggestions.?????????? Did the doctor (the one who advised you to have an IUI first and then may be an IVF) do any tests to see why you lost both ur pregnancies. Since u did not have a problem conceiving the first 2 times, u need to first get some tests done to see why u had the miscarriages. As u already might know, \" IUI - Intra Uterine Insemination\" is injecting sperm directly into the uterus after separating it from the semen. So in a way the pregnancy occurs naturally. You will have a high chance of getting pregnant this way but u have to make sure that ur pregnancy is carried to term this time, so my advice to you is to have all the tests done (tests like endometrial biopsy, blood tests, etc) prior to going ahead with an IUI. I' ve tried Dr. Nirmala Roy in JP Nagar, Bangalore and I really found her good. I got IUI done thru her and am expecting in April. U can try her.

I conceived with IVF and I have a beautiful daughter now! When things looked bleak, IVF was the only hope for us and it worked! So relax! You' re in with a good chance. However, I would suggest exhausting all otehr options before blindly jumping into IVF. Have you discussed these with your doc? Since you' re able to conceive naturally, there may be several otheroptions open for you. Which city are you based? I' m not aware of Dr Madhuri Patil. Of the several doctors I have met and have had experiences with, I would say Dr Firuza Parikh of Jaslok hospital, Mumbai is the best. I succeeded in my IVF attempt at her clinic.
