Here we are living in the year 2010 and we still have certain women claiming they have no or few righs. What a bunch of BS.These women obviously have never been into a divorce court where the man/father overwhelmingly is the on who loses his children,most of his income and rceives blame for everything and anything. I have personally heard feminists say to my fac that they hate men , so why the denial ? These weren't just rare exceptions but the norm from the radical feminists. When radical fminists say that ALL sx between men and women is rape, its no wonder where they get thses bogus ststistics that they prsent to the mass media that quots them without question. One Men's Rights leader stated -"Ever since the feminist movement took root in America, the divorce rate has skyrocketed and women began to believe that they do not need men and have taken on an anti-male hatred and bias against the male gender " This is a true statement which exemplifies itself everyday. Male bashing, male-blaming, male-hating, and othe forms of anti-male bigotry has now permeated our society at an alarming rate thanks to the radical "gender" feminists. As one modern day sociologists has said- " We have come as far as we can in the avenue of rights in our society. Everything nowadays is simply "special privileges". I have spoken to feminists around the country and I have NEVER heard one of them say anything positive about men/boys. Theeir entire mindset is enshrouded in "victimhood". Thse are the women who actually believe that ALL women are victims and ALL men are evil brutes. The very women who scream about "misogyny" the loudest are the very ones themselves who practice "misandry" . What a bunch of double standard hypocrites. The feminists deserve their reputation. Enjoyed your comments. Yes, we must be careful not to equate feminism to man-hating. However, too often the two are intermixed, by females themselves. It does seem in some instances, when a women is suffering a trumatic breakup with her spouse, all men are evil. As a professor at a university, we are fearful of those hard core feminists who take up the vigilante crusade against male teachers. These female administrators, quite articulately, and deliberately "cleanse" of what they perceive the university of misogynists, whether those targeted are or not. I have been a victim of such a witch hunt. As having a few students as man haters, we struggle and walk on egg shells around such people, who are quick to complain, and run to higher authorities with their perceived injustices. They take on the mantle of martyr, when in fact, they self-sabotage themselves. The result is of course, they alienate all those around themselves, which further reinforces their self-perception of being persecuted. Not all feminists are man haters; but (most) all man haters are feminists. Sadly, it has and continues to discredit a movement that brought good things to women.

I believe men and women are equal human beings. They, both, need equal opportunity, love, understanding, respect, appreciation, etc... . But the dangerous issue here is who leads the family and the society. If we say both of them, I mean men and women, should have equal weight in leadership, we contradict facts. Let's have a look at any institution: the universe, a country, a firm, a school... there should be one leader. No organisation has ever had two heads. May be a boss and assistant, yes. But never two leaders. Leadership has always been ejoyed by men. Why should we now reverse it and give it to women? If we did so, then men would fight to assume leadership or at least equality. Then we will come back to the same square we are standing now. Another important point is that leadership doesn't need resolutions and decisions. If a woman is capable of leading the family or an organisation, she doesn't need a resolution or a law- she will be normally selected to assume that role. Why? Because throughout history, leadership imposes itself up the situation, whether the assumer was a female or male. And finally, I want to whisper a word into women's ears (Do you really need some resultions and law schemes to prove that you can lead?)

It's not an issue of who's smarter between men and women. Judging by these comments, I'd say it's an issue of who is less brain dead, less stupid; less banal. As sexes, neither males or females are more clever, they have different skillsets, but that does not make one sex more clever than another. Fact. Now, for an opinion: I think the main issue between the blurring of lines between the tag 'feminist' and 'man hater' is due to the reputation that radical (a more cynical person would use the word militant) feminists have given the cause as a whole. Even I, a rather liberal bloke if I may say so myself, have been surprised at some of the rhetoric spouted by quite prominent radical feminists in the past. So.. that's my two pence. :)

That equality can be achieved in, say, matters to do with pay. After all, they argue, is it not 'equality' for men to be paid the same rates as women for doing the same jobs? Well. The answer is No! It might be fair. And it might make people happy. But it does not follow that such a thing would be a mark of 'equality'. The point about the piece was to demonstrate that the more that one drills down in search for 'equality', the more hopeless does the search become. For example, if men and women are doing the same job for the same number of hours, then a superficial analysis would suggest that they should get paid the same amount. But, should they? For example, should a man who has been lawyering or bricklaying for 20 years be paid the same as a woman who has been doing such jobs for only 10 years? Should a man who can carry two bricks in his wheelbarrow earn the same pay as a woman who can only carry one? If you answer Yes to either of the above questions, then I would argue that your notion of 'equality' is very strange. But let us look at a simple job, where skill and expertise are fairly irrelevant to the efficiency with which the job is done - though, quite frankly, there cannot be many jobs like this. Hmm. OK. Let's go for dishing out tea in a canteen. Should men and women get paid the same for dishing out tea in a canteen if they work for the same hours and if they both do the job equally well? Well, of course, I would say Yes. But so-called 'equality' fanatics, like the feminists, might well disagree, as they keep drilling down in search for 'inequality'.. They might discover, for example, the following. 1. They might discover that more men than women do this job. And from this they could conclude that 'equality' between men and women has not been achieved. 2. The statistics might show that the men spend more of their money on personal entertainment, and less on the family and children, and that, therefore, women should be paid more - often by sneaking the money back to them through the tax system. 3. The statistics might show that women have to take more days off for childcare reasons, and so they ought to be compensated in some way for this. 4. The statistics might show that women have to pay more for their clothing ... And so on and on it can go. My point is that the search for 'equality' is never-ending, and that in the process of searching for this impossible goal, the stirring up of male hatred is a major consequence - and, indeed, a purposeful aim. And given that 'equality' can never be achieved (even in simple matters to do with pay) the never-ending search for it by the feminists in all sorts of areas will forever involve the stirring up of hatred towards men in all sorts of areas. And seasoned men's activists will know that whatever statistical differences are found between men and women, the feminists will always manage to stir up hatred towards men on the basis of them. And so, for example, if more men are found working in this canteen than women, the feminists will argue that there is a 'glass ceiling' that prevents women from taking up this job, but if there are more women than men working in it, they will argue that the pay is too low compared to other more male-dominated jobs! Either way, they will stir up hatred towards men. And let me tell you what would happen if women throughout the nation - as a whole - ever earned more than men in their jobs; i.e. the alleged gender wage gap was reversed. The feminists would argue that the women were paying more in taxes, and that this was unfair! I can hear them now. "Why should women have to contribute more in taxes than men?" And if ever there came a time that men spent more hours at home looking after the children, the feminists would suddenly discover that children were not a burden but a pleasure! "This is outrageous," they would say. "Those poor women are out at work while the men are at home in front of the TV and having a good time bonding with their children." You have to understand the mindset of these dysfunctional women. They are driven by a hatred of men. This hatred is the only thing that unites them and it is the only thing that explains what they say, think, and do. For example, recall Hillary Clinton's speech to the First Ladies' Conference on Domestic Violence in San Salvador ... "Women have always been the primary victims of war. Women lose their husbands, their fathers, their sons in combat. ..." But if more women than men were actually killed in wars, does anyone seriously think that Hillary Clinton would have then said that men were the primary victims of war? Of course not. She would have emphasised the greater number of deaths of women during wars and made a great song and dance about it. These man-hating feminists will always attempt to stir up male hatred whatever the situation. It does not matter who gets paid more or who gets killed more, these nasty wimmin will use any differences to stir up hatred towards men. Finally, it is worth emphasising that you can never have 'equality' between two things that are not equal by definition. And there is no scenario that anyone could come up with that would bring about 'equality' between 'men' and 'women' unless no distinction between 'men' and 'women' was actually being made! - i.e. Catch 22!

Hello SlingerAap of Netherlands, I know very well how women have achieved equality in your great country. I have seen women standing like dolls behind the glass doors wearing almost nothing for prostitution in Damrak. Netherland's red light district is the oldest prostitution centre in the old (800 years). 30 minutes is charges about 40 to 50 euros. In West, women have all the rights on paper. I agree that woman and men deserve equal rights, and in my country they do. However what I sometimes dislike about feminists is that they want the best of both worlds. For example why is there no military duty for woman, if we are truely equal there should be, right ??? Yet I do not see them fighting for that. In my country woman can do an abortian even if the guy would like to keep the child. However if the guy wants the abortian and the woman wants to keep the child she can keep it. The motivation behind this is that woman have the right to rule over there own body. However I feel that in this matter the feelings of men are very much ignored, just like if a man can have no feelings for his unborn chiled. I discussed this matter with several woman, and I hypothesised that if there was a treatment that the child could be removed from one woman and put in another woman that would be willing to cary my child, wether then they would agree to that. Then they fiercely defended that they wouldn't agree, because it is theire child and if they want an abortian they can do that. That points out to me that woman have a twisted view on equality, because in my opinion they do have the right to rule over there own body, but if there is an alternative to killing the child, and the man wants to keep it, but still the woman can not only decide that she wants to remove it, but also that she wants it dead, then that is not equality to me. Thats only a desire to have power over man. So actually it seems to me that feminists do not struggle for equality, but struggle for power, which I'm sorry to say is the worst habit of men. Read the SCUM manifesto by Varlos Serlanas {it stands for the society for cutting up men}} and you will pretty much learn what feminists want the complete extermination of men or men being womens slaves {think about being a whipped married guy and make it 10 000 times worse} and dont even tolerate there belief that women have less power say a women seduced a man slept with him and when he never talks to him again she charges him with sexual assult.
