YAM
CURRY
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup Bengal gram-chana dal (soaked
overnight)
¾ cup yam (suran)
a little tamarind (soaked in water)
2-3 tsp. cochin
masala
salt to taste
METHOD:
Cook the Bengal gram along with the
suran in a pressure cooker. After 3 whistles, switch off the gas. When
the cooker releases pressure and you are able to open it, add salt, tamarind
pulp, the cochin masala and a little water. Boil it for 5 minutes and serve
hot.
