Hi. My son is 4 year old and suffers from constipation from the age of two. He eats cabbage, Cucumber,beet root, Doodhi, Fenugreek almost whenever i cook. But refuses to take any fruits .Banana and mango he takes sometimes.Tomato soup he likes but not everyday. He goes to tiolet every alternate day but comes back without passing tools.He is very very active and eats very little.Rarely he eats like a four year old.It is like this. He eats little and so does not get any pressure.And there is no pressure but his tummy is tight so again he refuses to eat. Our doctor has advised sorbilin and he is taking it. He should feel natural hunger and smooth bowel movements without medicine. Please tell me how can i help my child?

hi my daughter is 10 months old at start she also had same problem but the best is prunes ,dates enen a minute drop of flax oil help another ayurvedic solution is herde you just rub it on a rough surface with little water and give them in morning see to it that its not too much it will take care of constipation ,bloating ,gas etc spinach gives constipation so donot even try as its high in iron try it out all the very best

My daughter 15 months old was suffering from acute constipation. She could not able to clear pellet hard stools for three days. I tried giving Lactulose but of no help. Finally, as a last resort, I have to settle with Enema. Its very simple and can be given at home. Get any funnel shape small plastic bottle to be used as a rectal syringe. Fill the bottle with warm water (not more than 100 ml) and squeeze it into the anus. Wait for couple of minutes and you will see pellets breaking out. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS TECHNIQUE SHOULD BE USED AS A LAST RESORT.

My son is 3 and 4 months old and has suffered from constipation for a long time. It is very frustrating to not have found a lasting solution yet. It seems as though the minute we ease up on daily vigilance of water and whole grains and home remedies that he gets constipated again. Could this be a food allergy? We are vegetarian although I have to say he has not been eating vegetables at all lately. It is a struggle. When he finally goes after being constipated it is VERY painful and awful. What to do? My Daughter 3 yr. Old suffer regularly from constipation . But what treated her best was --- 1/2 glass of luke warm water with 1 tbs spoon of ghee and honey 3 to 4 times in a day. Also intake of ripe banana and prunes hleped and above all not coaxing her to eat more than what she felt liked , cause that would relax her system.
