How to Raise Happy Kids

How to Raise Happy Kids

Parents always try their best to foster happiness and give their children enjoyable experiences. One of the facts is that happiness cannot be wrapped and given as a present to anyone. Read on to learn how you can understand your child and raise him or her as a satisfied and a happy individual.

If you want to make your child happy, there is no need to read a lot of parenting books or seek advice from friends and relatives. Just concentrate on your child and see what he or she likes and dislikes and spend some time with him or her so that you understand your child. However, there are few steps that can help you learn ways to make your child happy.

Simple Ways to Nurture Happiness in Children

Here are 6 ways to nurture happiness in your children.

1. Go Out

This does not mean that you have to spend the whole day in some park or go out of station. Well, this means that you should take your child out at least for some time every day. The preferred time is evening because your child will find companions also during this time. Breathing fresh air and moving in open space will add up a lot of development in your child and add up to his or her overall health as well. Even if you take some time and take your child out and have some silent reading, you will find his or her happiness has increased. You can extend the stay outside if the weather is fine and comfortable.

2. Hold Back

Slowing down gives you chance to look at your child closely and take a notice of everything. This will help you understand your child and his or her problems and interests more strongly. You can have a time when you interact with your child and let him or her speak about whatever he or she wants to.

3. Music

Music is a key to happiness in every stage of life. It has the capability of enhancing immune system, lowering blood pressure and stress level as well. Singing a song with your child can also make him or her happy. You can find songs that are connected to learning and then help your child sing a song and learn a topic.

4. Dance and Play

The formula is to just move your body. Take your child out to play games. If you cannot do this, you can take some breaks in the middle of the day and engage your child in some quick game or any activity that helps increase his or her heart rate and helps his or her energy out. It can be games or even some dance moves, depending on the interest of the child.

5. Smile

If you smile often, your child will remain happier automatically. Make sure you offer a genuine smile because children are smart enough to understand authentic and fake behaviour. In fact, you can see the change in your surroundings if you smile often to all you meet on daily basis.

6. Make a Slot of Quiet Time Daily

It is although very difficult to make children sit quietly, but if you can teach them and help them meditate for some time, it will work wonders on their overall development. To start with, you can incorporate some quiet time daily for your child.
There is lot that you will find when you sit with your child and observe him or her and his or her actions closely. However, the above tips are simple and actionable to start with. One of the most important things that help children feel happy and satisfied is when they know that their parents are at their back always and they are happy too. Talking to your child and sharing with him or her will make him or her develop confidence in you and this will not only make him or her happy, but also enhance the bonding between the two of you.

I completely agree with Zubi and Sari. Happiness of children comes first and then the other things. Parents should only be concerned about the happiness of their children.

It is true that every parent wants to raise happy kids but the fact is that parents do not think before acting...some times parents commit mistakes which cannot be reversed and deeply harm the child. So parents should always think about the life and happiness of their kids.
