As a parent, it can seem like a daunting task to make your child smarter and better than the rest. Here are a few ways to give birth to a child with a very high IQ.

Every parent wants to give birth to a child who is smarter and brainier than the rest. Which parent would not want to see their child in the top five or top ten in the class every year? Did you know there are a few ways to make the most of your pregnancy so you and your husband are blessed with a high IQ child!

Read the following tips to give birth to a child with a very high IQ:

Say No to Caffeine, Smoking, Drinking and Use of Drugs

As a mother, it is your priority and duty to ensure that your child is born healthy and safe. Why indulge in smoking, drinking and other harmful addictions when you have a baby on the way? Pregnant women should consciously make an effort and choice to avoid habits which can cause prenatal damage to the baby. Many developmental conditions which affect babies in the womb are due to intake of foreign substances. Such harmful substances can pose a threat to intellectual development of the child at a later stage also; hence stay away from such stuff.

Thyroid Disease

Babies born to women with thyroid problem can face serious health issues including mental retardation. Hence, if you have hypothyroidism; you should get it treated to prevent any kind of neurological or developmental problems.

Pregnant women with low thyroid can give birth to babies with low IQ. Hence thyroid levels have to be kept in control during this stage. Protect your baby from birth defects and try your best to stay healthy during pregnancy stages of life.

Proper Diet and Exercise

They say that pregnant women who exercise produce healthier and smarter babies. When you work out, the body releases a hormone which passes through the placenta keeping your baby warm and cosy for at least 8 hours thereby boosting development. Exercise improves blood flow to the womb and helps in the development of baby’s brain. You should also eat healthy food ensuring that both mother and baby receive adequate nutrition. You might have to take supplements as advised by your doctor.

Step-Out in the Sun

Did you know stepping out in the sunshine can do wonders for your baby? So, what are you waiting for? Sunlight is the best source of Vitamin D which boosts heart health of your baby and helps in the development of strong bones. Pregnant women who develop vitamin D deficiency may end up giving birth to autistic babies hence ensure that you receive your daily dose. Sunlight exposure is good and it costs nothing. So get up and stay active!

Massage Your Belly and Don’t Worry

Women are often stressed during pregnancy over various issues. Stress is very harmful for your unborn babies so do not worry unnecessarily about anything. Remain cheerful and stress-free.

Massage your belly with some oil gently; so your baby can feel the sensation ad enjoy the touch. Massaging your belly can send calming messages to the baby and it is said that they can even distinguish between mother and father’s touch. Massaging can send signals to your baby’s brain so that it activates and he or she can respond to the stimuli.

Concluding Tips

Include foods like Omega 3, walnuts, fish, leafy vegetables and eggs in your diet. Iodine deficiency can also lead to low IQ in babies hence eat yoghurt, milk and iodized salt. Avoid contaminated water.

Talk and read to your baby as studies show that the foetus can hear from week 15 onwards. Singing, talking and reading can help in the development of baby’s brain and he or she may even show some movement. Thus, you can follow the above ideas for boosting brain development in the womb and give birth to a smart and intelligent baby with very good IQ.
