Pregnancy Care Tips

Pregnancy is a beautiful phase in women’s life. Life of women is not complete until and unless she gets pregnant and gives birth. However, extra care needs to be taken by women during pregnancy. Read on to find basic pregnancy care tips for healthy pregnancy.

Pregnancy is a period when a woman is raising a fetus inside her. This is normally a period of 40 weeks or a little more than 9 months. Though there are different symptoms some common pregnancy symptoms can be considered if they match with yours. No matter whether you are planning to get pregnant or you already are pregnant, you need to plan out everything and stay organized and take care of yourself and your fetus as well.

Pregnancy Symptoms

Although all women have different symptoms, some of the common symptoms are missed menstrual periods, morning sickness, sleepiness, food cravings, backache, nausea and vomiting and many others. Some women have typical symptoms either throughout the pregnancy period or for the first few months.

Pregnancy Exercises

If you are pregnant, you are not advised to exercise as you used to do before. You will have to consult your doctor and follow her advice during the entire period. However, walking and some light yoga asanas are recommended and said to be even helpful in having normal delivery.

Pregnancy Diet

Taking care of the diet is very important throughout the pregnancy period. Make sure you pay attention to taking fully nutritious food even though you have craving for some specific food items, try to avoid fast food and foods with empty calories. If you eat a balanced diet, it will keep you and your child healthy. Avoid alcohol and smoking during pregnancy and try to stay away from people who smoke. Limit your tea and coffee intake as excess of caffeine results in health problem in the later life of the child.

First three Months

The first three months of pregnancy is full of changes within your body. Pregnancy is calculated from the last period that you had even though the conception might have normally occurred after one or two weeks. Usually no symptoms are noticed in the first four weeks. The only thing that the woman marks is missing of her period.

In the first three months the cells of the baby multiplies very fast in this time. You have to be very cautious and careful and report any kind of bleeding or stomach pain during this time to your doctor. You might feel exhausted and suffer from morning sickness as well. If the sickness is very bad, you should consult your doctor.

Middle Months

These months are normally free from any complication and are most often enjoyable for the would-be mother. You can see the bump gradually growing in size and the movement of the baby inside your womb. Try to have lots of fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water to avoid constipation.

Last Months

By this time you might feel that your body is growing very heavy, feel heartburn and unable to eat large meals. You may also get breathlessness while moving around. You have to be little careful and watch out symptoms as your baby may arrive anytime now. Consult your doctor or midwife as soon as you have fast and severe contractions.

Postnatal Depression

It has been observed that many women undergo postnatal depression. Fortunately the symptoms of this type of depression last for few days only. If you feel unhappy or depressed more often and you are not able to overcome these feelings, get a professional advice.

Now you know that you need to take care of few things during pregnancy and also after that. Along with the child you need to take care of your health and well being also.
