Social activities are worth it as children can learn those important life lessons how blessed they are when they get to see an underprivileged child. My son's school which is Orchids international school takes care of educational trips where he learns a lot.

Children’s movie is a great idea. This year children’s day falls on Saturday so it will be good to take children out on the weekends. It is good for parents also to watch such movies with children once in a while. There is a good movie releasing specially on the occasion of children’s day. I would also like to inform parents that some organisations have organised a children’s film festival especially on the occasion on Children’s Day in Hyderabad. I would have loved to attend it with my child if it was in Mumbai too.

I totally agree with Riya that we should not waste money, instead of that we can celebrate children’s Day with poor children. At least they will get to see good things on that day which is being celebrated for them. Some children even do not know that such days are celebrated for them. So at least we can do something for them to make them happy on children’s day. If parents are involved in such activities, it will help children to be aware of the same and when they grow up they can encourage their children to do such activities too.

Undertaking social activities is a good idea for celebrating Children’s Day. Instead of wasting money on other things it is better to spend money on other important things like helping children. At least we can make some one happy on this occasion. I was very confused about what should I do for my child for children’s day. But I will consider the idea of helping poor and orphan children on this day with my child. It will give very good feeling to me and my child.
