Have a quick look at some simple tips for improving bonding with your baby.

Closeness: Try to keep your little one as close as you can during the day. You can have a baby carrier if you have other responsibilities to perform also. The warmth, closeness, heartbeat and your smell will keep the child attached to you forever. You will also be able to handle things easily and the child can have a nap by that time.

Touching: When you are feeding the newborn stay connected by touching and speaking to him. Once he is finished, you can also caress and play with him. Even if you are not breastfeeding your child, you should remain present there when the child is being fed and enjoy the closeness at least.

Massaging: Massaging your newborn two to four times a day is recommended. This not only strengthens the bones of the child and makes him active; it also improves the bonding between you and your child. If you are not aware of how to give massage to an infant, you can take up a class or take help from a DVD or online alternatives.

Reading:  Read out stories to your child even when he is very small and unable to understand what you are talking about. Just consider that you have to make use of the stories that are good and have some moral and message too. This will also improve the thinking of the child and help him stay calm and contented in his life.

Talking: Talk to your child even when he is only few days old. As soon as your child opens eyes and sees try to converse with him slowly. After sometime you will find that he well start responding to your words.

Singing: Have skin to skin contact as much as possible. Keep your child close to you when you sleep. This will have immense improvement in increasing the bonding with your child. You can also sing to your child anytime or at the time he goes to sleep.

Just keep in mind that simple touch and playing together as well as talking to and caring your child will improve the bonding and make it special and long lasting as well. Bonding with baby is not so difficult for mothers. Mothers are constantly in touch with baby for at least six months so bonding with a baby is not a big issue. Only for some mothers who start working after three to four months of delivery, bonding can be difficult.
