Tips for taking care of baby's Clothes

Since the clothes are in close contact with your baby's sensitive skin, it is very important to take good care of baby's clothes. Have a quick look at some guidelines for taking care of your baby's clothes.
  • Wash your baby's cloth preferably with a mild detergent or soap. Strong detergents are very harsh on clothes which make clothes rough. It is also very difficult to get rid of detergent completely from your baby's clothes. If there are some remains of detergent or soap in the baby's clothes it may prove harmful for baby's skin
  • Try to use fabric softeners while washing your baby's clothes. It will help to keep your baby's clothes soft and help baby to stay comfortable in soft clothes.
  • Avoid washing your baby's clothes with other's clothes. Always wash these clothes separately as adult's clothes may contain germs which may get transferred to your baby's clothes.
  • Make sure to that the detergent or soap is washed completely off from your baby's clothes.
  • Try to dry your baby's clothes in sun. This way of drying clothes will ensure that germs and bacteria in clothes are killed completely.
  • Avoid using detergent or soaps which has got strong scents for washing clothes of your baby.
  • Soak your baby's clothes in warm water before washing. It will help to remove the dirt from your baby's clothes easily as well as help to kill germs.
  • Keep your baby's clothes in clean bag or wrap it in a clean cloth after washing and drying them. This practice will ensure that your baby's clothes remain germ and dirt free till the next use.
  • Wash dirty cloth nappies and diapers separately. Always use hot water to wash them.
Once the task of washing baby's clothes is complete you should also make sure that they are completely dried. You should avoid using the cloths with hooks and prefer clothes with buttons. As hooks come out quite often while washing, they may hurt your baby. You must follow these guidelines while washing other cloths or towels which you use for patting your baby dry after bathing him.
Normally, when babies are small you need not buy too many clothes. You can borrow clothes of babies of your friends and relatives whose babies are now grown-up. However, you should make sure that you make your baby wear these clothes only when they are properly washed and are in hygienic condition. Taking tips from mothers of older babies and toddlers will also help you a lot in taking care of your baby's clothes.

I think, we should separate clothes as per their brightness , white or light colour clothes supposed to get many stains, so avoid feeding baby while baby are wore with light colour clothes, Dark colour clothes still would not make great impact on its shade.

Sundrying baby clothes is very good. Drying the clothes of the baby in the sun kills all the germs and is the best natural disinfectant.

I wash baby clothes separately first in lukewarm water and then in a mild detergent. As a last rinse, an antiseptic solution is a must.
