Decorate your dining table for the party with edible flower decorations. This edible crafts can be a special item on table for kids as they can pick up candies from the flower basket.

Materials needed

1. Floral foam

2. Shredded paper

3. Silk flowers (sunflowers, berries, maple leaves)

4. Sweets: butterscotch hard candy

5. cinnamon discs, chocolate bars

6. Green floral tape

7. Curling ribbon

8. Bamboo skewers

9. Glue

10. Scissors

Method

• Prepare a container like a basket or pail and line it with foam. Your foam should sit firmly in your basket. If you need to you can secure the foam with duct tape. The foam should sit about one inch below the rim of your container.
  
  
• Next cover the foam with shredded paper (the colour of the shredded paper should complement the container).
  
  
• Start creating your bouquet by placing varied silk flowers into the foam. You may want to go with a round or triangular design. The design here shows five small sunflowers and six small chrysanthemums.
  
  
• Insert silk maple leaves or greenery around the rim of the container.
  
  
• Now wrap the chocolate bars on bamboo skewers with green or brown floral tape and gold curling ribbon. These can be stuck to the skewer too.
  
  
• Similarly make candy flowers out of different candy using yellow or red curling ribbon around each candy flower stem.
  
  
• Insert these candy flowers and mini chocolate bars around the flowers. You may add red berries around the flowers and candy for effect.
  
  
• Your edible flower decoration is ready.
