Always encourage and motivate kids to study. Motivating kids to study can be done by setting up a study time. Studying should be a daily affair. Setting up a time and place helps in setting up the schedule. For small kids, preparing a time table also helps. Parents can sit with the kids so that they get habituated to studying. Getting access to old question papers helps a lot in preparation.

I have read this full article about prepare child for school test. It has included some good bullet points especially the last point "Talk Positive". Yes. That is exactly correct. If parent gives confidence and some guidance to child, they could not feel nervous, not only in school test.

Hello, helping children to perform better in the test can be easy for some and tough for parents and children. It is necessary that you relax your child and let him calm down. This is the most important thing which should be done. After that it is important for the parents to make the children understand the importance of exams so that they understand how important it is and take it seriously. Majority of the children get nervous and scared to face the test and tend to get anxious forgetting what they have learnt. Help the child when they feel so and motivate them.

Some children also get scared because they are away from their parents making them nervous and feel uneasy. There are several symptoms which can tell you whether your child is nervous or not. Mostly children do not tell what they are feeling and try to hide it, but they are stressed and nervous. You should know it before the exam so that you can help your child and also relax before the exam. When your child is feeling nervous he might get sweaty and his hands and legs might also get sweaty or cold. In this case just calm down your child and help him relax.

There are at times when children might start complaining about headache just before exam, this might be a symptom that your child is nervous because of the exam he is about to give and maybe the child does not want to give the exam so is giving excuses or genuinely has a head ache. Give your child some water and help him relax, make him calm down and tell him that there is no need to panic and just focus and remember what you have learnt. Also tell him that there is no need to be scared and you are with him always.

When children try to fidget with things and doesn’t leave your hand or looks upset or disturbed and is getting angry at small matters then you should consider these as the symptoms of his nervousness. Even when your child is not able to concentrate and focus on his studies or is not able to sleep well at night then instead of getting angry at the child, focus on helping him or her as these are the symptoms of nervousness and anxiety. All these can be controlled before itself if you have regular study habits for your children.

There are more symptoms of being nervous like a habit of nail biting, when the child does not want to go to the school or is least interested in the activities once he enjoyed a lot. Some children about keep complaining and cribbing about small things. It is our duty to help our child and understand them that they are not doing anything purposely. Relaxing the child is the first thing which every parent should do and talk everything positive to the child so that the child does not have any kind of negative influence on him or her.

To help your child’s for their exam is to calm them down and tell them to take deep breaths and relax. Motivate them and encourage them that they will do their best and perform good as they remember what they have studied. Giving such moral support is extremely important for the children. Helping them constantly to prepare for the exams will build their confidence as well. Reminding them of important things regularly can also help them a lot. Just giving moral support before the exam will help boost his confidence and also tell him that if he prepared better he would get good result.

Hi, if you realise that your child is feeling nervous then help him relax and talk to him so that he talk to you and also talks about his feelings what he feels and let him express himself. Tell your child some strategies like if he gets stuck in any question during the test and do not remember the answer for it then he can continue with other question and if he remembers the answer he can answer it. Always be calm so that the child also remains calm and remember to talk positive each and every time before he goes for the test.
