During pregnancy, lot of hormonal changes are taking place in the body and due to this there is an increased blood flow to different part and also to the breast tissue. The breasts feel swollen and sore. They are also sensitive to touch. This is also a symptom of pregnancy and lasts through the first trimester. This main reason behind the breast enlargement and swelling are the hormones progesterone and estrogen. They increase the blood flow and work on the extra fat tissues and changes the chest and prepares it for breastfeeding of the baby.

There are some women who do not experience this change. Some women have their breast changes after the fourth month and grow till the ninth month. It is said if your bust is not ready before the baby is born, the milking process will be late for the baby.

Hi all, doctors say that the breast size does not matter in breastfeeding. Even if the bust is small and has not changed in the course, you will milk. If you have any concerns about breastfeeding you can consult your doctor freely and there is nothing to feel shy about it.

An expecting mother can notice changes in her breast from the 6th to 8th week and they usually grow bigger in size. The breasts grow throughout the pregnancy a cup size more than the regular. The mother might feel the skin near her breast to be itchy and irritating as it is stretched and causes stretch marks.

In pregnancy most women suffer from a leaky breast. From the third month the breast produces colostrum which is required by the baby when he is born. In the last months of your pregnancy you might notice a yellow substance leaking. Leaking does not take place in all the women.

Hi, to prevent leaky breast it is important to wear nursing or maternity bras which are extremely comfortable and supportive throughout the day. You can also go for a maternity bra which is good for a breastfeeding mother.
