It is important to improve the concentration of kids so that they can focus on studies. To do so, a child needs to feel relaxed. To improve concentration of a kid, parents must give free time so that child is refreshed. Let the child indulge in some interests or hobbies. Always keep the interests alive in the child. Make studying fun so that the child does not take it as a burden. Try to engage the child in puzzles and always ensure a healthy diet.

To get child focused on studies, it is important to get rid of all distractions near him or her. It is better to turn off phones, television or music systems. It is a good idea to switch such distracting appliances rather than taking the child away from them as then his mind would be there in the other room. It is better to be organized and make a to-do list. By making such list, the child would be able to handle different things with ease. Let your child cross the items in the list that he completes. Allow some breather or short breaks between studies so that the child does not get bored and he enjoys his study time. The breaks should be short only and not to be indulged in other activities.

Loved the suggestions given here. They are really marvelous and seem to be effective. Distractions need to be removed so that children are able to concentrate. I have seen many parents taking the child away to another room and keep on watching television but I feel this is not the right way. The child will be tempted to watch television or even not interested in studies as he knows that out there you are enjoying yourself. Parents should also try to sit with the child while he or she is studying so that his or her mind does not get distracted. Presence of an elder helps the child to focus better. If parents can help with the studies then this will also benefit the child. Sitting with the child, parents will be able to find out the problem areas and work on them.

Hi, it is very difficult to handle kids when it comes improving child’s focus on his studies. Children find it very difficult to sit in one place and concentrate for a long time in class or school and even at home. They are hardly able to concentrate to the teacher for some time and then they get distracted or start day-dreaming. Children start focusing on unwanted things and also start looking out of the window. During this time they can miss out of the important topics and instructions which are told by the teacher.

Hi, according to me there can be several reasons for such behaviour from the children. But there is no need to worry as this is common in all the children and can be managed. This can mostly happen due to lack of focus and concentration or when the children are over-exhausted or tired. Some reasons can be like if the child is overstimulated or there might be some psychological or physiological reasons as well. We as parents need to find out why our children are struggling to concentrate on the lectures. You can look into the matter by finding out the reason after which you can find a solution to it.

Like adults children also need attention from their parents and when they don’t seem to get attention they do various things to seek attention from them. It is necessary that you pay attention to your child and what he wants and then only he will pay attention to you when you try to teach him something. Give your child clear instructions so that he understands it and is able to focus on it. It is important the when you teach your child something new you also be equally concentrating on those things and seeing you your kids will also focus on those things.

In today’s world there are several distractions which have caused your child’s concentration ability to hamper. Even hunger can be a major distraction for the child as he won’t be able to concentrate if he is hungry. It is necessary that your child has a proper meal before they sit to study so that there is no distraction for him to get up several times while studying. When your child is studying and trying to concentrate at home it is necessary that you cut off the other distractions like TV, computer or other loud noises which can distract your children.

It is necessary that when a child is doing some task he has breaks in between and is not overloaded with several tasks, this can cause the child to be confused and also make him feel burdened. Unable to focus he will not understand what to do and how to do. Make it a habit for your children to divide the time so that he can complete his homework regularly and also be able to revise what he has studied. A regular routine can help the child to focus properly and also when he does not feel burdened he will be able to concentrate more.
