Every parent is seen to have problem dealing with children who are aggressive. Usually it is said that children tend to behave the way they see and according to the environment they grow up and adapt to the different types of violence they are exposed to. Controlling children and especially teens is very difficult. It is very difficult to handle children and make them act our way. We need to keep our calm so that we can handle the kids calmly and patiently. Handling situations smartly is more important than over reacting in each situation.

Hi, I had read somewhere that many kids who are aggressive show their aggressive nature starting from their preschool age. They start hitting their classmates, taking their toys, screaming, pulling and many other things. There might be several reasons for this kind of behaviour as they are scared or have fear of something. Mostly they seem to remove their frustration by behaving like this and they think by doing this they can be superior or try to repeat thing which he or she has seen earlier. It is important that you be supportive and understand the reason behind it.

Sometimes this kind of behaviour can be considered as normal as your child is learning so many new things each day that it might get frustrating and irritating that it might have this reaction. They might feel left out and lonely or even neglected sometimes therefore they might tend to hit or misbehave with his or her classmates. Sometimes he or she may be hungry or agitated or tired and to seek attention they may behave like this. It is necessary to know the reason behind it. Negative attention seeking can also be one of the reasons to the behaviour he might show.

I agree with you all of these can be the reasons for such aggressive behaviour. Mostly such kind of behaviour is seen due to the feeling of being insecure or also feeling unsafe and hence they try to remove their frustration, anger and fear on someone else just like what adults do. This kind of behaviour should be stopped or controlled before it gets out of control. Sometimes this kind of behaviour may lead in harming themselves physically or mentally. These matter can be sensitive at times and should be managed by proper guidance and maturity.

Hi, there are several ways by which you can deal with an aggressive kid as I have dealt with it and used these methods to bring my child under control. Hopefully some of these ways will help you out. Always try to look out for the triggers and find out what triggers this kind of behaviour. It is important for all the parents to know how to react and it is necessary to always be calm and normal while talking and handling your children. Show them your love and care and always try to give attention to what they are saying or doing and do not let them feel left out.

It is important to keep a check on what our child is doing watching, playing. It is also important to know who his friends are and with whom he plays and spends his day in the school. There are at times when the peer influence can make your child do such things and it is necessary to know if such thing is happening it should be stopped immediately. I had seen a child who would get influenced by his friend as his friend hit some children that child also started hitting other kids. They tend to come under peer pressure or influence whatever you can say.

It is our responsibility as parents that we share the bond with our children and also be able to connect with them whenever possible. Talking with them helps them talk their heart out and also express their feelings which are trapped inside. Be supportive enough that the child feels extremely secure and safe with you and is able to be free with you. You can also talk about the good and the bad behaviour with them. Even when they behave in a good way never forget to appreciate or praise them. Find ways with your child to deal with such behaviour.

Discipline has always been a sensitive matter for the parents and disciplining every kid is not easy. There are few children who do not easily listen to their parents or their teachers. Yelling and hitting the child never works. Remember that you are the role model of your children and they tend to follow you, how you talk, react and all the things. It is important that first you keep calm and then try to teach your child because unless you are quite and composed you won’t be able to make him realise his mistake.
