Can someone please tell me about the benefits and ill-effects of getting a Shirodhara massage?

    Red face Shirodhara: Advantages...Advantages..ONLY Advantages

When our mind is always preoccupied and overstimulated, we have difficulty slowing down and handling stress because our thoughts and worries send our body into a state compromises our circulation, increases our heart rate and blood pressure, and creates other long-term health issues.
During shirodhara, as warm oil is poured over the forehead, the nervous system becomes deeply stilled, as the past impressions, repetitive thought patterns, and emotional toxins weve been holding onto slowly melt away. The shirodhara helps us enter a state of peace that enhances brain function, mood stability, and balance.

I agree with Palak. It relaxes the nervous system and integrates brain function. When oil is poured on the forehead, the nervous system is is at peace. Once the brain is in a peaceful slumber, more life energy and oxygen and other nutrients flow freely to the brain. This helps the brain to function better, mood stability and improved stress handling ability. With each session, the mind achieves deeper state of peace and more healing takes place. Regular treatments are said to increase blood circulation to the brain, improve memory, nourish the hair and scalp, encourage sound sleep and calm body and mind.
