Cause and prevention of bed wetting

Toddlers wet their beds as they do not have control over their bladders but as they grwo they can control their bladders, still some kids wet bed. What is the cause of bed wetting in toddlers? Can it be prevented?

There are several reasons for bed wetting. It also runs in the family so it a child’s parents used to wet beds in their early years, then it is most likely that the child will also wet the bed. So whatever the cause is, it is likely that children who are bedwetters have some sort of genetic reason. It's also possible one or both of their parents wet the bed.

No pressure or scolding will stop your toddler from wetting the bed until he's ready for it.So it is not possible to prevent bed wetting in toddlers. If a toddler wets bed, then parents have to deal with this patiently.

bedwetting is not a fault of toddlers. Young children under the age of seven don't yet possess the bladder capacity to stay dry all night long. Just like potty training, toddlers can be trained to curb bed wetting.
