    screening hearing problem in babies

an infant should be screened for screening otherwise his hearing problem will remain undetected for a long time. How can the babies be screened for hearing problems?

Infants learn a great amount during the first months of life even though they will not typically speak their first words until 12 months of age. Identifying hearing loss and providing early intervention improves a child’s language development. Many hospitals have facilities to screen hearing problems in babies. An infant’s hearing ability can be tested.

Screening hearing problems is important so that your infant does not miss out on early language development. Infants begin learning language during the first months of life. An infant with hearing loss needs extra help in communicating and understanding language.

it is good to find out if a baby has hearing problems early on in life but what are the tests that are done to screen hearing in babies? What would be the approximate cost?
