    cause of miscarriage

There are different causes for miscarriage. Health conditions that may contribute to pregnancy loss are high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disease, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), inherited blood clotting disorders, certain disorders of the immune system, uterine or cervical abnormalities, abnormal levels of hormones, obesity, maternal or fetal infection, or chromosomal problems in one of the parents. so check if you have any of these.

    miscarriage causes

some lifestyle factors may also cause miscarriage so it is better to avoid these. health conditions that may contribute to stillbirth are chromosomal abnormalities of the fetus; placental problems, such as placental abruption; poor fetal growth due to smoking or maternal high blood pressure; chronic health issues of the mother; umbilical cord accidents; and infection of the mother, fetus, or placenta. Other causes of stillbirth that are less common include Rh disease due to incompatibility between mother and fetus, trauma of the fetus, a pregnancy lasting longer than 42 weeks, or a difficult delivery that results in a lack of oxygen to the fetus.

Fears of having a miscarriage during the pregnancy is very obvious especially when you have a baby growing inside you. This a normal reaction from the moms who have previously suffered from miscarriages. They constantly fear of bleeding or spotting and keep checking these every bathroom visit.

There is no need to worry if you find some bleeding or spotting, it does not mean a miscarriage. There light bleeding sometimes which is called as implantation bleeding which is caused in healthy pregnancies. This happens as the baby implants into the uterus which is full of blood vessels.

The term miscarriage means natural loss of the foetus during the pregnancy before the foetus is mature enough to survive outside. The miscarriage is said to be early miscarriage if it happens within twelve weeks of pregnancy. It is called as late miscarriage if it happens between the 12th and the 20th week of the pregnancy. If the baby is lost after the 20th week then it is known to be stillbirth.

Miscarriages most likely occur due to chromosomal abnormalities in the baby in the early stages. This prevents the growth of the foetus causing early miscarriage. Sometimes some infections, rare abnormalities or deficiencies cause the early miscarriage.

The exposure of the foetus to the cigarette smoke or any kind of drugs may lead to a miscarriage. The late miscarriages are mostly caused due to the structural abnormalities in the uterus. The chances of having such miscarriages is quite low and very few women are affected by this abnormality.

The other causes of late miscarriages are tumours, infections, incompetent cervix, abnormal attachment of placenta or endocrine disturbances. There is no connection of having miscarriage by exercising, sexual intercourse, minor falling or accidents, heavy lifting, stress or emotional moods.

It is very important to understand the signs of miscarriage like bleeding, where the blood might be red or dark brown and is as heavy as menstrual period which continues for several days which might be a miscarriage. Having abdominal pain or cramps is same like feeling menstrual pain and having pain in the lower back.

There is nothing which can be done to prevent miscarriages as such because the reasons which cause them are out of your control. However you can control certain things for your safety and reduce the chances of miscarriages like avoiding smoking or taking harmful drugs, avoiding the exposure to toxins, avoid excessive drinking of alcohol.
