    Dizzy spells in pregnancy

Dizziness is sometimes common in pregnancy but if it happens frequently, then it is a matter of concern. Occasional dizzy spells are not to be of much concern. You feel faint when your brain is not able to get enough blood supply. Skipping a single meal causes blood sugar level to drop and this leads to feeling weak and light-headed.

tips for preventing dizzy spells in pregnancy

If fainting spells seem to be a frequent thing with you there are ways you can minimize its incidence. Here are some tips. Get up slowly from your seat or bed; don't rush. Blood takes time to return to your heart from your legs and hence the decrease in BP levels will cause you to feel faint. Make it a habit to lie down on your left side to prevent blood from pooling in your lower limbs; lying down on your back slows down blood flow from the vena cava to your heart

    Tips for preventing dizzy spells

Don't skip meals or eat poorly; you will end up with low blood sugar and feel dizzy. Snack between meals. Avoid spending time in hot rooms or taking hot showers or baths; this will cause your blood vessels to dilate and lower your BP causing dizzy spells. If fainting spells are common occurrences with you, inform your doctor. It can be anemia and you certainly need extra iron to combat this.

The most common problem during pregnancy is dizziness and the feeling of fainting. It is a normal symptom and nothing to worry about as majority of the women feel this during their pregnancy.

Hi, dizziness is mostly experienced in the first trimester of the pregnancy. But some women feel it throughout the pregnancy. The main cause of dizziness is the rising hormones which cause the blood vessels to widen and relax. The blood flow to the baby is also increased and the return of the blood to your veins is slow. The blood pressure is lower compared to the normal and the blood flow to the brain is lowered causing dizziness.

Hi, the reason behind dizziness is the lower blood sugar levels which occur to adapt the body changes happening and the metabolism which occurs. Mostly women who are anaemic and who have varicose veins suffer from dizziness.

You can reduce the dizziness by avoiding standing for long time, make sure to keep moving your feet so that the blood circulation is increased. Don’t keep too much gap between you meals, do not get up immediately when sleeping or sitting.

There are some other things which you can do to avoid the dizziness. Try avoiding too hot baths and showers, wear extremely loose and comfortable clothes which help in blood circulation properly and also when you are in your second trimester avoid lying down on your back.

Hello all, if you feel you are going to faint then you can try to do these steps. Avoid getting up immediately if you are sitting or lying down. Try to take deep breaths and if you are wearing tight clothes just loosen them.

If you start feeling dizzy then just sit down or lie down and lower your head, if you can’t lie down then just sit down and keep your head down. Try to go to open window or where it is well ventilated. Eat foods rich in iron they will keep your free from anaemia.

It is important to contact your doctor if you feel dizzy and have pain in the abdomen or have bleeding from the vagina. This might be a sign of ectopic pregnancy, placental abruption or low-lying placenta.

Yes dizziness is normal thing. This is one type of phase during pregnancy. Try to live routine life in that. Take a bath and wear loose clothes so that you feel comfortable. I also face this problem. Also we try IVF treatment in silverberries IVf treatment center in Pune. And with their help and god we have now sweet baby and she is 1 year old.
