I am looking for a good preschool in the Frazer Town area for my daughter. My No. 1 choice is Jumbo kids, since my brother's daughter went there and they were very happy with the school and the environment.
I have a doubt however - the school has a 2 and 1/2 hour daily program for Nursery. Is that sufficient time for any kind of learning to take place? There's a local school near where I live that takes kids of her age for 3 and 1/2 hours. I don't' need Daycare - my mom will take care of her after she comes home so that isn't an alternative. Do any of you find the two and a half hour time period of school sufficient?
As a Pre-schooler kids are new to the playschool environment and almost for the first time they stay without their parents. So most of the playschools have 2.5 to 3 hrs schedule only.
Also, the learning mostly includes rhymes, a bit of coloring, eating etiquette etc so it can be covered in 2.5 hrs.
According to me, what really matters is the safety of the child, infrastructure of the school and the attitude of teachers in the school which makes for a conducive learning environment...
My child is already 2 years old and requires a lot of attention. He has increased activity and I can see that he is developed beyond his years. We give him kids coloring pages so that he develops faster and the main thing is that he likes it.
