Foods That can Hamper your Child's Memory
Including right kind of food in the diet of children is very important for boosting their memory and brain power. However, making poor food choices for children can have inverse effect. Let us take a look at some foods that can hamper your child memory.

Children are always fascinated about food. And if it is tasty then, they are more likely to have it. Children nowadays basically like fried foods, such as chips, burgers, pizzas, colas, in their snack time. But as parents it is our duty to make them choose the right foods, which are tastier as well as healthier for them. Here are few lists of foods which can hamper your child’s memory.

Trans Fatty Acids

Trans fatty acids are mainly found in processed foods, margarines, salad oils, bakery foods, and candies. Too much consumption of these items may lead to less favourable cognitive function and less total cerebral brain volume.

Saturated Fats

It is found mainly in meat, chicken skin, and full fat dairy products. Daily consumption of these items may lead to decline in cognitive memory function. People who consume it in large amount may suffer from these illnesses compare to those who consume it in less amount.

Simple Carbs, Syrups, and Sugar

Intake of sugar syrups and simple carbs may lead to different illnesses, such as it can increase the risk of insulin resistance, obesity and metabolic syndrome. Try to avoid giving these foods to your children as much as you can.

Sodium

Daily intake of sodium can affect blood pressure and rages the chances of cardiovascular diseases. High level of sodium intake with low level of physical activity may lead to negative impact on cognitive abilities. Sodium is present in good amount in salt, so try to take it small portions.

Tofu

Though tofus are tasty to eat but somehow it has some consequences on health too. Its daily intake may lead to several memory challenges than those who intake it in lesser quantity.

White Rice

White rice can have some negative impacts on your brain resulting in depression. Avoid taking it in large quantity. If you consume it in more quantity then it may lead to increased risk of depression.

Packed Fruit Juice

You may think that fruit juice is a great option than having cola. But when sugar is included in it, it becomes more harmful than cola. An extra spoon of sugar in it will cause harm to the brain. Try to avoid sugar as much as you can in fruit juice also avoid having canned fruit juices.

Doughnuts

Doughnuts are much popular among children, as it is a kind of fried candy dipped in sugar syrup. But too much intake of this fried food may lead to several health ailments including high rise of cholesterol and brain problems. Therefore, try to avoid it as much as you can.

Junk Food

Junk foods are also a big favourite among kids, especially burgers, pizzas, etc. These foods contain large amount of saturated fat and calories which is not at all good for your child’s health. Try not to give them to your children on regular basis; it will have a big impact on their health. Instead make them something new which is nutritious as well as healthy.

Microwave Popcorn

Microwave popcorn is another such food which is quite popular among children. It also contains good amount of saturated fat which is not at all good for your kid’s health. Too much consumption of saturated fats may lead to several brain problems including rise in cholesterol level.
Though the above mentioned food items are very tempting but it is better to keep your little one away from these.

Not only memory but also the overall health of children is hampered due to the over consumption of such food items.

Giving junk food to kids once in a week is fine but daily consumption of junk food is definitely going to hamper the memory of kids.
