Vegetables are an important source of essential nutrients which are beneficial for the growth and development of children. Here are top 10 vegetables which you must include in your child’s diet.
Ensuring that kids are getting the proper nutrition is a very important responsibility for the parents. It needs a great amount of effort on the part of the parents to decide which food group to provide their children with. Amongst such food groups, vegetables are one of the important sources through which children can get essential nutrients. Therefore, it is essential to include vegetables in the diet of children in some way or the other. Here are 10 such names of vegetables given which you may include in your child’s diet, have a look at these.

1. Carrots

Carrots are rich in carotene that helps in healthy vision for kids. So including carrots in the daily diet is very useful; carrots can be eaten raw and included in salads with tasty salad sauce to add spice to it. Try this and your kid will surely like it if you can make the salad yummy to eat. Grated carrot can also to be added to a variety of dishes like Pulav, Khichdi, Partha etc.

2. Spinach

Spinach is rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin K, lutien and potassium. It helps in the development of muscles in kids and maintains a healthy heart. It is also rich in fibre that helps in keeping a proper bowel system. Spinach can be added in salads or if you want it to make yummier you may add this to burgers and your kids will surely love it.

4. Tomatoes

6. Potatoes

Potatoes can be added to your child’s daily diet. Hundreds of recipes can be prepared just with potato or using potato just as a topping. It is rich in carbohydrate that provides energy to the body and your kids need this the most for their daily activities; it is a great energy booster.

7. Beetroot

Beetroot contains many nutrients like iron, potassium, Vitamin C, and carbohydrates. The Vitamin C present in beet helps to absorb the iron content in beetroot. 10. Broccoli

These vegetables should be included right from an early age i.e as early as 6 months in mashed form.

Making khichdi and pulav is also a good option to include vegetables in the diet of children. My mother used to do that and now I do it for my kids.
