Parents know that eggs are a storehouse of nutrients that are important for growing children. But children do not like to eat eggs the same way every day. Read on to learn about the 10 egg recipes for kids that they would love to eat.

Healthy and nutritious food is the prime requirement of growing children. As a parent, you have to take care of the quality also along with the quantity. Eggs are both, healthy and tasty and can be prepared in many different and tasty ways.

Egg is considered as a great source of nutrition for kids. In fact, an egg is equal to a multivitamin meal for your child. It contains protein, vitamin A, vitamin D and minerals. If you can serve eggs in your child’s daily diet, you can stay assured that his or her body gets almost all nutrients for the day.

Egg Recipes for Kids

Here are some recipes that are going to make your kid an egg lover.

1. Omelette

Omelettes are the easiest and most common ways kids like to eat eggs. You simply need to break two eggs in a bowl and mix it by adding salt according to the taste to it. Now heat the frying pan and add little bit of oil on it. Spread the egg mixture on it and add the favourite stuffing of your child to it. You can add onion, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms and many more. Serve the omelette along with crispy bread or parathas.

2. Scrambled Eggs

Break 2 – 3 eggs in a bowl and add a tablespoon of milk, some oil and add salt and pepper according to taste. Mix well and heat the mixture in a pan. Add grated cheese and serve. You can also add finely chopped spinach, bell pepper, tomatoes and others to make it different and more nutritious as well.

3. French Toast

Take 2 – 3 eggs, add some milk, salt and pepper and mix them well in a bowl. Now cut the bread slices in the shape your child prefers and dip them in the batter. Heat a pan and drop some oil to it before you place the slices of bread dipped in the egg mixture. Turn the bread to the other side when it is done and serve with the sauce your child likes. Kids love this form of eggs a lot.

4. Egg Sandwich

To make a sandwich you need hard boiled eggs. Cut small pieces of eggs after boiling them and spread them on slices of bread after spreading little bit of butter on them. You can add salt and pepper to it and cheese in a limited amount, if you like. Spread tomato ketchup on another slice of bread and make the sandwich. You can cut the sandwich from one edge to another so that it looks like the one offered in eat outs. This will make the dish all the more appealing to your kids.

5. Egg Role

You can make egg role in two ways. One is by mixing 2 eggs along with salt and pepper in one bowl and spreading the mixture on the frying pan which has the role spread on it. Carefully turn the role spread with the mixture and let it cook on medium flame. Serve by adding cheese and sauce to it.

6. Role with Boiled Eggs

Another way of making egg role is to add small pieces of boiled eggs with added spices according to the taste and age of your child on the role spread. You do not need to turn the role on the pan because the eggs are already cooked. Serve with tomato ketchup or any other sauce that your child likes.

7. Egg Poach

Children love the taste and look of poach a lot. They will readily have this with parathas or bread. You simply need to heat a pan, add some oil to it and break the egg carefully so that the yolk is intact. Cook on medium flame and sprinkle salt, pepper and a little bit of chat masala on it. Kids would simply love and want more as well.

8. Egg Paratha

For this you need to break some eggs in a bowl and add salt and pepper to taste. If you want to add more variety, nutrition and colour to your parathas, you can add spinach, onion, tomato, finely chopped coriander leaves and green chilly. Take two cups of wheat flour separately and knead it with the egg mixture. Now make parathas out of it and serve it with chutney or sauce your child likes.

9. Egg Fried Rice

You can either make scrambled eggs and add to the fried rice or add small pieces of boiled eggs to the fried rice. Children are definitely going to like it both ways. Sometimes you can make changes considering the taste glands of your child.

10.  Oatmeal with Eggs
