Foods to be Avoided During Weight Loss Regimen

Have a quick look at the list of foods which should be avoided when you are on your weight loss regimen.

Fatty Foods

Foods that contain a lot of oil or has a considerable amount of fat should be the primary group of foods that must top your list. If you are aiming to shed that extra fat from your body, make sure that you are not burdening it with more and more fatty diet. Here, you need to shun all your favorite fried snacks and those curries that have a lot of fat and cooked in a fair amount of oil.

Carbohydrates

Avoid your intake of carbs too. Carbohydrates actually convert into fats after they are consumed. The body stores this fat and this adds to your body weight.

Grains and Sugars

These two groups are considered to be fattening substances. One needs to be careful with them as they happen to be the most common feature of our diets. They also contain a huge amount of carbohydrates. Many researchers are also of the opinion that people are becoming increasingly obese due the carbs in these grains and sugars. So check on the amount you consume and it is even better if you are able to reduce their intake considerably while targeting effective weight loss.

Avoid a Variety of Food on Your Platter

If you want to lose weight successfully, check on the variety of food that you serve yourself. A variety means the amount of calories that you are consuming in totality increases. You need to curb the urge to get a second helping.

Avoid Fad Food

Junk food and fad food are temptations that must be strictly avoided. If your mission is to lose weight, they should be a strong no-no. They not only lack in essential nutrients, but are dangerously high in fat and calories. They can also wreck havoc on the digestive system of your body.

Avoid Beverages and Coolers

These might make you feel refreshed or give you and instant kick, but they do not have the virtue to add to your good health. The sodas and juices might have a tantalising taste, but to aid your weight loss program, it is advisable to stick to water, lime juice and fresh fruit juices. Alcohol also is an evil beverage. 12 oz of beer equals to 146 calories!

Avoid Meat and Fish Loaded with Saturated Oils

Margarines also fall under this category. The full fat dairy products, brownies and red meats add more than 2 grams of fat preserving. So shun them. Cakes, pastries, pies, chocolates and milk bars are laden with high fat content. They enhance the cholesterol levels by leaps and bounds.

If you avoid eating the above mentioned food items, you will definitely be successful in achieving your weight loss target. However, make sure that you pay proper attention to your diet and have foods which are necessary for your good health.
