i have read some of these article on here and i must say u ppl suck. dont be so mean to these ppl on here. i am 24 yrs old and i had my baby at 16 yrs old. i went on the pill and then i did the shot. that messed up my whole system. i cant get pregnant and i must say i only get my periods like 2 times a years. i have went to the doctor and i found out that i am producing 2 much of a man hormon. everything that u all r saying of being crabby, tired, in pain, and dont have ur periods, or gohst periods, and ur body thinking that u r pregnant when u really arent, weight gain that u cant get ride of and ur breast r sore than ever before. ect ect... i have went through everything. my doctor said to cure this is to go on birth control. or to go on glucophage. gluco has helped me so much i have started to fell better. and the temperments have went away alittle. but i can still be a bitch. i wish all of u good luck and i hope that everything works out for u all. and dont bother of reading what these other ppl have to write on here. cuz if they r saying this stuff about other ppl then they dont know what we r going through. good luck to all of u :-)

dear iregular periods firstly did she use protection during sex? that would be my main concern. irregular periods happen for various reasons. is she is afraid that she is pregnant she should look at getting a pregnancy test done - yes pee on a stick and believe me it isn't that hard to do! you can come by these at any chemist/pharmacy or at the doctors or a sexual health clinic or family planning clinic (i don't know what they are called in england sorry but i hope you get the idea) if you have the last two in england the tests probably won't cost her that much - may even be free. i recommend she gives that a shot if she wants to - cause remember the longer you leave something like this the less options you have available in the long run. i'm not claiming to be an expert i'm just concerned thats all.

i don't know how old this is, i just stumbled across it when searching for something else - so i don't know how old this is. i want to know if these women have received any advice or help cause it is sad and frustrating to read about their problems. some of these things i have gone through. wanting regular periods can be achieved with the help of the contraceptive pill or a healthy diet and some exercise like already suggested above. for cramps a hot water bottle (already suggested) is a great idea or one of those heated wheat thingies go down a treat. it can also come down to diet and exercise as well or the contraceptive pill to 'mask' this pain. in some instances what has been described could also be symptoms for endometriosis - not wanting to alarm people but going to the doctor and bringing up this concern might be an idea. and even if it isn't mild pain killers or the pill or even a healthy diet can be prescribed. if it is endometriosis this is treatable by either using the pill to mask the pain - but remember this will not take away the cause. the cause being little pimples forming on your uterus. if you have been diagonsed with endometriosis then your doctor may wish to have these pimples removed (which is recommend wholeheartedly). there are no set list of symptoms as like pms it affects women who have it differently. some women may have lots of these pimples but show no symptoms and others may have one and be crawling around the floor in agony - i was the latter with the vommitting and fever and changing of colours. this is a general one but i've read that accupuncture is a good way to deal with pms or endometriosis - it is only a masking relief though. it is sad that so many people here especially the younger ones are afraid of what is happening and don't seek out advice from their mothers, aunties, sisters or an older female they trust. i urge you to do so - putting up with pain or something is not worth it if someone can inform you there are ways around it. don't suffer in silence or be a martyr. sorry i was one of those little girls who had no idea what was happening to me when this all happened and was scared sh*&less. my mother wasn't a big help but then hey i found some books and then started asking her the 'tougher' questions. good luck

pms is not something that anyone can "cure", and probaby never will be. it is not a diease. it has occured since the beginning of time and is a simple physiological response to our body'sreleasement of eggs. it occurs worse in some people and not as bad in others. i didn't have my period until i was 14, and the i had it only twice. i did not start again until i was 16 year old. i had all the cramps, all the back aches, and upset stomachs, butno period. it is ad was normal. it's like if you had never played an instrument before.you would have to get used to fingerigs, blowing air, embrohures, and how to sit correctly.in the same way, the body has to get used to releasing eggs for future reproduction. it may take a while to get it figured out. then again, it may not. it depends on your body. i knowa bunch of people who didn't start until they were 15 or 16. if you are worried then go to a doctor. as in an oby/gyn. they are doctors specialized in this knowledge and if you aren't comfortable going to a man, then go to a female. they aare just as much if at not more knowledgable of this subject if not for the simple fact that they have and have had close friends that have gone through what we feel. they have come up with two main types of pms now. pms. and pmdd. premenstral distress disorder. this handles severe menstral pain and the horrible psychological sypmtoms that at times accompiany periods. including , but not limited to, severe mood swings, excessive vomiting and diarria, depression, and suicidal feelings. if all else fails, the seek out apsychologist for feelings of suicide. but consult a professional. it will definately help no matter what. i know from experience.

i am a 19 year old female and i have irregular peroids. i had it for quit some time now. when i went to the doctors they told me it is because of my weight. in order for me to have regular preiods i would have to lose weight first. when the doctor told me that, he answered my questions. as long as i could remember i was over weight, when i started to lose weight i was having regular peroids. thats because i was on a diet plan, and taking dietary pills. when i stopped taking the pills, i noticed the change, and i wasnt having my period. i would go months, and months, without it, even longer. until oneday, my mom relized it. the only reason she didnt realize it before because she gave me time to get my period i was still a teenager. some females get there early, or late. i just figured i was getting mine late. when my mom made me an appointment at the doctors, they told me the reason which was i was over weight. the doctors then gave me a proscription to get on birth control pills that way i could have a reluated periods. at times i would forget to take them, and i even stop because it made me gain weight, hair loss, acne, and i was afraid oneday i was going to have a heart attach. someone please help me, i know for a fact when i get more older its going to to hard for me to have children.

the ideal would be to be married for some women but in today's society not every woman beleives in marriage, i for one was married for 7 years and did not like marriage as a lifestyle did not have children but i decided as a single woman independent at 39 years of age and with good morals that to love or have a child is not always necessary to be married but the child should know both parents and enjoy the presense of both parents not necessarily having both parents living together. religion should not be involved in decisions that should only concern the life of each person as a unique way of life, i think your strong opinion is okay if you are lucky to stay married in such rough times as the ones we live in today and if you like being married as a lifestyle. however, reality is not as ideal and we must be realistic and know ourselves, "to each its own". although, i admit one must be a responsible person when deciding to have children depends on the economical, mental and realistic reality of every individual, i woundn't agree if on is only 15 years old this way of doing things.

to all.. if you are 18 with no period go to your doctor. yes sometimes it is normal to skip a month. that is cause by stress or changing your eating habits anyting can do that. it is normal to cry cause your hormons are crazy last year that is all i wanted to do. if you think that you are pregnate go to your doctor legale they cant tell your parents. intill you tell them and alot of parents are more okay with it then you think like mine my mother has always been behind me yes you can have sex befor you have started your peroid.
