it is a moving piece by ms. sunanda. a learning for many an adult too. poverty is an attitude. perhaps, her advise of using once experiences to bring up a confident and sensitive generation next is our two cents in this collective endeavour of fighting poverty.

it is indeed a great pleasure to know that parents are teaching their children the values with which we were brought up i.e. work hard, earn, share, give, and value the possessions(tangible and intangible).

nicely written.we all should do something for the concerned group of people who are in distress. i would like to ask the author to start a charitable organization for the people. let's act together. but i have some different opinions in last para. one should not encourage begging. that's true if begging is a profession. if not ? when one gives some tips or donates to some poor people - he or she should be away from any sorts of thinking about the recipients.it should be generous.

article is good,we can only pray everyday for poor people that nobody on this planet goes without food anyday. let us pray to god that everybody's desires be fulfilled .he should bless everybody with basic necessities, set atleast 10 mins everyday for chanting for healing poverty on this planet.

i admire the author for bringing attention to the immorality of poverty in india. unfortunately, in the indian system of morality only a very small number of people pay attention to this shameful situation. this could be greatly improved if people of conscience devote 5% of their time and money to improving the education of poor children by mentoring them.
