thanks for a very useful article, the best i read! i completely makes sense and describes my situation: i have lots of milk, my 1 month old baby feeds non-stop (and started having green stool and colic)and, following standard advice, i've been changing breasts with every feed: that's what i've been doing wrong!

fantastic! sums me up - dairy cow with excessive fast flowing milk, gassy baby. i will try this advice and hopefully things will become less green!!

green stools can also result from a food allergy/sensitivity...i.e. dairy products in moms diet (dairy is the most common offender). other high allergy foods include nuts, eggs, corn, wheat... so this also should be a consideration. it can take 2-3 weeks to get the allergen out of your system.

i have been unable to find any information on why my son's stools are green. this may be the issue. i look forward to seeing if the suggestions will help him.
