Preschooler's Growth and Development (3 Years, 11-Month-Old)

You will get a new high seeing your preschooler grow. Learn about the developmental milestones of 3 years, 11-month-old preschooler.
Seeing your preschooler grow and develop is one of the best things you can expect as a parent. It feels amazing to see your preschooler getting smarter day by day. It seems like you had got her from the hospital the other day and the very next day she started acting as a grown up.
Your child has achieved plenty of developmental milestones by now and is yet to attain many more. You are better prepared when you know what to expect next. However, you must also remember that the milestones are general guidelines and you should not be worried if your little one is lagging behind in some areas.

What to Do When Your Preschooler Regresses?

It is normal for preschoolers to regress. She may feel overwhelmed dealing with so many developments. Once a chatterbox may appear to do nothing but simply cry at times. Again, you may find her more interested in sitting in the pram rather than walking all the time. All these are perfectly normal. Here are shared some of the tips you can keep in mind when you find her regressing.
You need to acknowledge her feelings. If she is not capable of telling you the factor causing irritation for her, she may at least show it to you.
You must not judge if it is good or bad, rather you need to consider it as a signal. If she is regressing, she is actually telling you that she needs comfort. You can spend some time with her, read a book or allow her to do what she feels like.

Slow Learning in Preschoolers

Some preschoolers are late bloomers, so you need not worry if she appears to be slow. She simply needs some more time to develop his skills. If you think you are worrying over these, you can have a talk with his doctor.
As your preschooler is learning plenty of new things every day, she needs your loving care and support for her new explorations. Make sure you give her the freedom to grow and develop. While it is important to be around her, you should not get over protective at any point. Again, if she is unlearning some of her skills, it too should be taken as a normal developmental phase. Do not worry about them unnecessarily.

Dealing with Developmental Delays

Identifying developmental delays are very essential. Intervention and treatment on time can make things less complicated. When you consult a therapist, your child shall be evaluated for all possible disorders and necessary therapies shall be suggested for her wellbeing.

Successful Experiences of Preschoolers

This is the age when your little one shall love to have some successful experiences. She is now absorbing so much information around her and is responding to them. This shall help her understand her reactions to different situations.

Improved Abilities of 3 Years, 11-Month-Old Preschoolers

She is more intrigued than before because of her new found independence. With increased muscle control, she now loves exploring the complex and complicated tasks. You will find her highly self satisfied upon successfully completing a task.
When she feels good about her abilities, it shall reflect in her intellectual capabilities. Her vocabulary has increased to the point that she might surprise you.
However, the discussion does not mean that she would not be exposed to any tought experiences at all. She shall learn plenty of things from trying to handle tough things in life as well. You can bring up examples of difficult times and how you dealt with them. This shall help her understand how natural problems are and more important is to come out of them.
Wish you all the best mommies! Enjoy this wonderful phase of being a parent of a busy bee at home!
