Raveena Tandon, famous Bollywood actress who enjoyed great success in the 1990’s, adopted two girls – Pooja and Chhaya before getting married. Today, she has given both girls a wonderful life and has two kids of her own namely Rasha and Ranbir. Her adopted daughters took her to the ‘mandap’ for her wedding and now she has walked her daughter down the aisle for her marriage.

Adopting Children as a Single Parent

Raveena Tandon chose to adopt two girls in 1995, when she was still unmarried. The girl’s mother had passed away and their father was an alcoholic. Raveena Tandon and her mother used to work with many NGO’s. The two girls were the children of her second cousin. In order to give them a good life, she adopted these two girls. Today both of them are married. What a proud feeling it must have been for Raveena!

Raveena Tandon was recently in the news when she was about to turn mother-in-law for the second time. She took on the responsibilities of both adopted daughters when she was not yet married. Challenging Role

Raveena agrees that it was a challenging decision to adopt two girls at the age of 21 when she was still young. However, she has juggled home and work beautifully. She has done well in her career and also played her role as a mother very well. Kids and family always came first for her. She put them ahead of her profession. After marriage, she juggled four kids and enjoyed her role immensely. Rasha and Ranbirvardhan are still very small as compared to her adopted daughters.
