6month is a long time to wait for steady head. please contact your doc.

roopa, please don't give these kind of assurance to people here.don't try to be professional if you are not.

my baby head got steady by 4th month thats y how i know it.my doc told me to wait until he is 4months old.

therefore,i am saying that your baby is not fine, she needs to be checked by doc.please don't risk your baby health on basis of personal experiences and advices.

Subject:  tension for u is not good too
i hv 2 kids and my experience has taught me this rule of thumb -

whenever i felt there is some problem with the baby, i have either called up the doctor or visited personally.

there may/may not be a problem with the baby, but let it be judged by the right person.
what will happen? at max your visit and some money will go waste. But thats ok because

1. even if the baby has no problem, the mother has - she is worried. Get it cleared once and for all and be tension free. If appoitment is problem, call up the doc and talk, simple!

2. Most times the baby is fine and doc's visit/call goes waste. But dont be bothered if family members say anything about it. It is mother's responsibility to ensure that child is fine. It is equally important to get mother's worry cleared!

With babies, the problem is seen mostly when it gets worse. So Dont wait till long.

Dont we wear seatbelts everytime in the car just to avoid that one
unfateful and unlikely incident?

as for your baby - i think she is perfectly fine. Some kids take their own time for some things. You say baby's other developments are fine, right?
Dont worry - I hv seen it with many babies.

Just consult the doc.

all the best :)
let us know what happened

roopa

dont worry .It is always safe to show it to the doc than we getting worried. Is she a normal delivery,You can shoe some colour ful toys in front of her and make some sounds out of it. This will encourage the baby to look up.

Hi there yes this is a very common issue and you should not worry at all and then one must always try to avoid this because the child needs the mother only, so please understand and do not worry so much.... - Aditi [View Message]
