Hi Simran, this is one common problem which is faced by a lot of kids. This is generated due to fear which is caused in the child during the younger age. It cannot be stopped that easily.

Too much anger in a child is not right and you as parents will have to look for ways in which you can calm him down and help him not get angry very fast and biting too is not a very good habit and you should get rid of it.

I have seen many kids who come under the habit of biting people. I am not very sure how their parents remove that habit of their but i know that with age the habit goes away because the kid matures.

Aggressive nature is quite common in ids but it should be handled wisely. If the kid is not explained about it his habit might turn into being his nature and it would cause a lot of trouble in the future.

A lot of kids get aggressive while they are growing up and there are different ways you can handle it. If you consult a child psychologist and take suggestions from him or her it would be very useful and beneficial.

I have heard that some kids bite when they get angry but i don't know if it is common in kids or not. I don't know any way that can help you stop him but maybe asking a child psychologist might help. They are very helpful in such cases.

Hi Simran,
It is the common problem in children as they grow they will only change their habit no need to get worry out of it.Every thing will be cool and you no need to be tensed and never scold him or raise hand on him.

Some children bite and it wears off in a while. For some others, it is a habit that wont get kicked off easily. Is your child overly aggressive or does he listen to your reprimands?

Hi Simran Jha,
Kids generally will learn some sort of things which are easily attracted from other kids.It is the way of showing their anguish to us.We need to control them and must make them very cool so that they will forget such things to do.

First of all, find out from where he picked up the habit. Maybe he saw some other child do it and that is why he does it. Be firm and tell him that this won't do. You don't have to beat the child or discipline him in any physical manner but letting him know that this sort of behaviour isn't good is important. Even if he cries and kicks up a row over it, don't let go of your stand.

Check with his school teacher. Is any other hild doing it in class and try to find out from where he has picked up the habit. Be strict with this and tell him in no uncertain terms that you won't allow this. When my daughter had a similar problem, I spoke with her teacher at Orchids and we came up with a solution - when she is angry, we will ask to go to a corner in the room (we called it anger place) and asked her to vent it out. This started working after sometime and we also learnt that she picked it up from someone else and slowly put an end to it.
