Customs and Traditions:Brahman Karan love marriage
2008-06-19
Name: Siddharthq I am a karan boy and love a Brahmin girl, who also is very much in love with me. But our castes dont match and neither do our raashi and gana (I am manav and she is a danav) and dont know what else mustn' t be matching... BUT THIS IS NOT MY PROBLEM. -problem is her parents-they will never agree-we both feel so. They are very conservative. Even if we' re able to convince them for caste, then our kundlis dont match. They will never agree. I dont want a court marriage or eloping although we both will start working in a year.. I cant find a way out. Seriously please Help.

Hi Karan
I am a brahmin girl and faced same situation from which u are going through. But the difference is that we got married 1.5 yrs ago and are happy together...
I must say that it took over 2 years to make them agree for our marriage but till date nobody has accepted us.
we faced a lot of problems especially on my side so i must tell u one thing that be very strong because if u want to take her with u .
This is practical our parents make so much expectations from us and they have to give answers to our so called society who never want to change for others. problem is not our parents but is society which make them harsh towards us....Parents love us very much so go to them make them understand that u have to marry a girl who is educated full of attitude (Sanskar)goodlooking and who can take care of all things, support u in all phases of life (U n DOWN) and give unconditional love........ same as is the case with ur girlfriend.
Donot force them just try to make them understand and i strongly believe that if u are ture u will defintely win.
One more thing be very true to each other because in affairs people do lie... because it will adversly effect ur married life.
I wish all the best to you........

Subject:  I don´ t understand castes
Hi Siddharthq,
I am Irish and I do not understand caste system in your country. I don' t know what a karan or a Brahamin is. Also, I don' t understand the words kundlis, raashi, gana, manav and danav.

I do have questions.
How long have you known your Brahmin girlfriend and how long have you had feelings for her?
Are you really in love with her or merely infatuated?
Will your feelings for her be the same in five years time as now? In other word, will you be changed toward her?
Is your love for her conditional or unconditional? Will her love for you be always unchanged and unconditional?
Are your rosy expectations of love very different from reality?

You may be young and confused, just as I once was. I had once loved someone for years and then, had my heart broken, because the love from someone was conditional.
Here' s my advice to you. Take more time in getting to know your girlfriend. Meanwhile, really do make the BEST of EVERYTHING you have in your life. Make the best of your IQ, talents, skills, money, time, sources, etc. Make several self-improvements, take hobbies, etc. Study for better-paying jobs and have a good life as well. If you already have a job, do study parttime and keep trying for better paying jobs or opt for business. Just make an extension of yourself. Be better than you were ever before. Everyday, keep telling yourself and believing in yourself that you are the best among the best. Believe in yourself - really. Go to Google, type in successconsciousness forums. You will find something of great interest to you and of benefit to your love life.

I am sorry your country is crippled with castle system. Indeed, castes do create problems and obstacles - just like the class distinctions in Britain do.

If your feeling for your Brahmin girlfriend is mere infatuation, try prayers. I have always believed in prayers. For yourself, pray for a soulmate (or soul partner) to come into your life. A soul partner is one who is divinely chosen for you and is matched to you. This is the True Love that stays with you always and remains unchanged toward you. Pray for this one to come to you and then wait patiently. Also, do really have faith in this soul partner (or soulmate).
Your Brahmin girlfriend might not be your soulmate (or soul partner). Anyway, pray for one to come to you and be prepared to accept her, whether she is a Brahmin or other. A soul partner is one who makes you the happiest being. That' s all the help I can give you.

Subject:  Regarding Caste System
This Caste system that is spread today is all Man made. Gita says a man´ s caste depends on his action. So when u worship God u r a brahmin when u in action of ur life´ s battle field u r a Khasatryia similarly when u earn ur living u r a Vaishya and when u do works of cleansing ur soul u r a Shudra. Rest all is illusion and man made theories. When u study deeply indian literature then the real essance comes out. So educate people to learn by self and not mere by sayings of todays foolish ppls.
GURUBANI (Very Divine Book of Sikhs Say:-
PANDIT WAHI JO MAN PARBODHE
RAAM NAAM ATAM ME SHODE.
means one who loves God in heart and soul is a real PANDIT.)
Gurubani is a complete Book it shows u d right way.
Thanks
