Name: Ankitha Often when I use Pulses in cooking, it causes gastric upset for my family. Is there any such tip to prevent this?

While cooking pulses use sufficient garlic and ginger. This will in easy and proper digestion of pulses and accordingly prevent gastric upset.

When you cook pulses, wash them in fresh water two or three times and then soak overnight, so that the water used for soaking can be used for boiling the pulses. When you throw away the soaked water, the vitamins released in the water that help in the digestion of the pulses are also lost.
