Subject:  Not that easy for me to make friends!
U r all right, being a mom at home can be very lonesome, esp if u r away from ur country and loved ones.My problem is that I' m very socially handicapped..extremely painfully shy.I can' t make myself smile or say hello to anyone..I start shaking or sweating..so how can I make friends?I' m ashamed to say this..a grown up woman with a toddler. When I was working,I had some friends..now that has also gone.I always feel very inferior, less smarter than the other women/men around me..am scared of rejection.I have had bad experiences like this which have made me even more scared to come out of my shell. Some people think I' m arrogant or a snob since I dont talk..but only I know my problem.Does anyone have the same problem,or can someone advise me what to do to get out of this rut?I dont my daughter to suffer loneliness because I dont interact with other moms or worse, become like me:(

You can make friends anywhere. There are people with train friends, yoga class friends, etc. I even know of mothers who became friends while they waited to pick up their children from school. It is easy to find people. All you have to do is look around and be friendly.

Subject:  Movie group
I would suggest going out for a movie once in a while. My sister has formed a movie group. Once or twice a month, they meet up and go for a movie. If they cannot go to a theatre then they get a DVD and watch it at someone' s house. It sounds like a really nice idea.

Subject:  Women need time for themselves
I agree that a woman needs to be away from her children sometimes. It is not a bad thing or it does not mean that she loves her children less. It is just a sign of needing some time off. When I was young, I would go out on the weekends and leave my baby at home with my husband.

Living with my husband after getting a divorce
I have a question that sound a bit weird for others. What is your opinion about living with my husband after getting a divorce? We have all the problems in the relationship that 90% of married people reading this have in their relationship, neither more nor less. The simplest reason why I think of this is I and my husband individually are very good people. Especially among... - Aruna Tanik [View Message]

RE:How to get back jewellery from mother inlaw?
On the very second day of my marriage, all jewelry(my parents and in laws both) was taken from me and kept in my MIL locker. After that day, even on functions, i dont get jewelry to wear :). At one time, she plainly said "i cant go to locker, i get tired, wear artificial ones. Dont ask for this in future too. Wear artificial". But when my parents or even my daily use items... - KyaKare [View Message]
