some times after feeding i am getting so much pain in left breast.The pain is like somebody is pitching with needle...it will last for 1/2 hr to 45 minutes.Not everyday,its like alternate days.Daily 2-3 times..Its unbearable pain.I tried putting ice n hot water also.Nothing helps.
Please suggest me if anybody knows abt this.

Hi Siri,
here is what I found reg. breast pain in one of the books [Nursing the first two month]I read:
\" A deep pain often described as shooting pain that occurs just after nursing is thought to be related to sudden re-filling of the breast. The pain disappears after first few weeks of nursing. Blocked nipple pores can also cause stabbing pains.\"
The book doesn' t tell abt the treatment, I guess putting ice pack is a good idea....

Thanks a lot for giving me information.Sorry for late reply.I was out of town all these days due to Hurricane Ike.
I tried putting ice pack also ...nothing is better .Pain will last for 45 minutes daily at early mrng.
My sore nipples are healing day by day....As you said I applied expressed milk and air dried for 15 minutes....
how is aadi doing?

I am sorry to hear that you are having pain:( so where is the pain? is it the nipple or the breast? sometimes , the breast pains when the ducts are filling with milk...
