Hygiene is learned from a young age. It is learned by observing the family members and surroundings. I made sure that my kids learn the basics of hygiene. a person who is hygienic turns out to be healthy and well groomed. The basics which i have taught my kids are to brush twice a day, bathe twice a day once in morning and once in evening. Washing face, hands and feet after coming from outside. Washing hands before eating any meal. similarly it is important to maintain hygiene in the surroundings.

I completely agree with you. Children need to be taught early so that it becomes a habit. if they maintain hygiene then they will be less prone to infections, rashes and other common illnesses that arise due to hygiene issues. After coming home from play, it is a must to wash properly and change the clothes as playground is a hot bed of germs. Regular handwash and avoiding outside food is basic of hygiene. Kids learn from parents so what you do is taken up by kids. Practice hygiene all the time will help kids learn the basics of hygiene.
